We had the good fortune of connecting with Alejandra Copeland and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alejandra, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
When it comes to social impact, my philanthropic work with Ok Yes Pitch Storytelling is rooted in visibility.
I help founders, especially Latina and minority entrepreneurs, tell their story in a way that elevates them in rooms where decisions are made.
I’m also pushing GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), a framework that teaches small businesses how to show up on AI platforms like ChatGPT.
As AI becomes the new gatekeeper, underrepresented founders risk being left out of the digital conversation entirely. I want to make sure that doesn’t happen.
Many entrepreneurs have the talent, but not the language or structure to communicate their value. When they learn how to talk about their business clearly, they unlock confidence, opportunities and partners.
That ripple effect strengthens families, communities, and entire ecosystems. Visibility changes everything!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’ve spent 20+ years helping Fortune 500 brands communicate.

First through video editing at MTV and Viacom in New York, then through Andromeda Productions here in Miami (https://andromedavisual.com/), and now through Ok Yes Pitch Storytelling (https://sayokyes.com/), where I help founders pitch with clarity and confidence.

I work with rising businesses and visionary entrepreneurs who understand that a pitch is not a magic spell, but the output of a solid business strategy.

Years ago, I realized most founders obsess over the words, the slides, the “pitch moment,” but if the strategy underneath is weak, it’s not just the pitch that collapses: the business suffers, too. A pitch without positioning, research, and a real growth plan is just a pretty sentence.

That’s why my Growth Sprint sessions have taken off.

We don’t start with the pitch; we begin with the foundation: customer clarity, market angle, offer strength, and a realistic business development approach. Once the strategy is tight, the pitch becomes almost effortless. It writes itself because it’s grounded in truth, not wishful thinking.

My job isn’t just to help you “sound good.” It’s to help you walk into the room with a story that’s backed by direction, validation, and intention. That’s what actually moves the needle. Even a single pitch review session (https://sayokyes.com/pitch-review) has proven to help businesses clarify their message.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were in town for a week, the first thing I’d do is take them to Haulover Dog Beach early in the morning. It’s my favorite reset with the ocean, the dogs running around, that mix of chaos and peace you only get in Miami.

After the beach, we would have to go to Burgers and Shakes on 7401 Collins Ave. It’s not fancy, but it’s iconic. You order the onion rings and the Oreo milkshake (non-negotiable!). It’s one of those simple Miami pleasures that never fails.

The rest of the week would be a mix of good food, good views, and good conversations: Wynwood for art and people-watching, Coconut Grove for a slower vibe, and a drive down to Key Biscayne to remind ourselves how lucky we are to live near water. Miami’s magic is in the contrast! Nature, noise, culture, and a little nostalgia all live together.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I owe a huge part of my growth to the VENPRENDEDORAS community.

Mariela Briceño, the community’s leader, has created an incredible space for Latina entrepreneurs in the United States. Being part of this mission has been one of the most meaningful chapters in my work.

I recently served as the Program Director for their Getting Pitch Ready initiative, powered by The Eisner Foundation and The Eisner Prize Fellowship 2024–25, which gave me a front-row seat to the grit, talent, and ambition of Latina founders as they build their dreams from the ground up. Watching those founders gain confidence and secure funding reminded me exactly why I do this work.

Big shoutout to the mentors, collaborators, and clients who trusted me long before Ok Yes Pitch Storytelling existed. They challenged me, pushed my creativity, and showed me what it means to serve with excellence.

But VENPRENDEDORAS (https://venprendedoras.com/) deserves a special mention because they embody exactly why I do this: helping talented women get visible, get confident, and get the opportunities they’ve always deserved.

Community is everything! “Network to Net Worth” isn’t just a phrase; it’s the truth.
