We had the good fortune of connecting with Anhelina Pohorielova and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Anhelina, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
What has been the most important factor behind my success and the success of my signature method, ARTFORMULA
If I try to describe it honestly, everything started with a simple feeling: makeup could be more. I always treated it as a form of art a way to build structure, create depth, work with color and light, and let an image carry emotion. Over time, this approach grew into my signature method, ARTFORMULA.
ARTFORMULA isn’t a set of tricks or effects.
It’s a system one that helps you understand every stage of the process: how the structure is built, how the light works, how color should move to support the idea. I developed it gradually, testing it in my own creative work, in competition projects, and in places where elements of my technique were applied.
What means the most to me is seeing ARTFORMULA appear in different artists’ work and noticing that its principles actually help produce strong results.
When I began to see my method used in various creative and competition pieces and those works receiving high scores. I realized that my contribution reached far beyond my personal achievements.
Today I often notice professionals using certain elements of my system, relying on its logic, and creating thoughtful, powerful work. Their results are the most honest confirmation that the method truly functions.
If I break down the foundation of my success, it comes down to my original system, discipline, and a deep sense of responsibility.
I’m not just creating a technique. I’m creating a tool that helps artists grow and step onto a higher professional level.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
When I think about my art, makeup has always been more than applying color. For me, it has always been a form of expression a way to shape emotion, character, depth, and even a story through a face. I’ve never looked at makeup as something superficial. I see form, light, shadow, and intention. And that perspective eventually led me to create my signature method, ARTFORMULA.
ARTFORMULA didn’t appear overnight. It came from years of searching, practicing, making mistakes, analyzing, and trying to bring everything together into one clear system that helps artists work with intention. It’s not just a sequence of steps. it’s a way of thinking. A way of building structure, understanding light, seeing composition, and creating images that feel alive and cohesive.
What truly sets my work apart is the combination of artistic vision with technical precision. I want every image to have meaning. I want people to feel the work, not just look at it. And one of the things I’m most proud of is seeing elements of ARTFORMULA appear in creative and competition projects by other artists. It means that my ideas can exist beyond me and that is incredibly meaningful.
Another important part of my journey is creating practical tools. During preparation for an international championship, I designed a brush belt based on my own pattern. It was created specifically for the needs of the participants, met all technical requirements, and helped keep the workspace organized and efficient. For me, it was a new realization that my ideas could be useful not only artistically, but also in the real working process of other professionals.
My path was far from easy. I started without perfect conditions, without connections, without a “proper beginning.” I had to prove myself step by step first to myself, then to others. And these challenges taught me discipline, confidence, and the ability to follow my own direction even when no one understands why you chose it.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that you can’t wait for the perfect moment. It doesn’t exist. You grow by starting, trying, failing, getting up again, and moving forward until your work begins to speak for itself.
What do I want the world to know about me and my method?
That ARTFORMULA is not “just another makeup technique.” It’s a way of seeing art. It’s a tool that helps artists grow, see deeper, and create something truly alive.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my close friend were visiting Miami, I’d start by taking them to the one place that always inspires me the Miami Design District. It’s an area where creativity is everywhere: in the architecture, the galleries, the installations, and even in the colors of the buildings. Just walking through those streets feels energizing.
We’d stop by a small café for good coffee and explore a few of the design stores and boutiques you can only find here. What I love about the Design District is that every detail feels intentional from the window displays to the sculptures placed in open spaces. It’s the perfect place to soak in the artistic atmosphere of the city.
For lunch, I’d choose one of the stylish restaurants with an outdoor terrace. It’s the best way to enjoy the Miami vibe relaxed, warm, and full of interesting people.
In the afternoon, we’d explore a few art spaces, visit local designer boutiques, and check out the newest installations. And to end the day, I’d take them somewhere by the water, a calm spot where you can watch the sunset and unwind after a long walk.
The Miami Design District is a place where you can get inspired, recharge, and feel the true rhythm of the city. That’s exactly where I’d take my friend to show them what Miami means to me.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout goes to the people who have been a meaningful part of my journey. I want to thank my team their support, drive, and energy have always inspired me to grow and create more. And a very special thank-you to MBL Academy by Krotova (Milas BeautyLab) for giving me the environment where I could learn, evolve, and refine my artistic vision. Being surrounded by people who believe in your potential truly changes everything.
