We had the good fortune of connecting with Kate Obert and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kate, what do you attribute your success to?
Evolving. As a personal brand myself and expert on branding, I see that most people struggle with the idea of an authentic, cohesive brand that reflects all of them. They are taught that building a brand is about being consistent, so they choose their colors, logo, determine which side of them they want people to see and what they’re about and can never change because they’d lose brand recognition. My philosophy when it comes to branding is that we should always be evolving and it can be done in a way that is always on-brand. I am successful because I teach people how to evolve by understanding the fundamentals of building a brand that represents who they are at the core & their next version they’re wanting to step into and then their aesthetics externally represent who they are. We are always changing and so should our brands. No one sticks around at the movie theatre to watch the same movie over and over and over… same thing goes for a personal brand. I allow my audience to grow with me as I learn more and more and this way, my client retention, not to mention my referral rate, is extremely high. I am always sharing, teaching and creating new ways to disrupt the market to stand out as a personal brand because personal branding is the future.

What should our readers know about your business?
I help high-performing entrepreneurs and digital creators create a cohesive and aesthetically-pleasing brand. My specialty is in rebrands and creating full-sensory brand experiences. I am most proud of the ability to help further the missions of my clients and the impact they make. When they are confident in their own brand, they show up fully and are much more successful. Getting to the point I am at now was definitely not easy but I have loved every minute of it. Entrepreneurship and building your own business is just one big personal development journey and the challenges I’ve faced have made me the person I am today. I have learned that in order to take action, you don’t need all the answers and taking action is the only way to get answers and clarity. You have to trust your intuition because that is your North Star. I have also learned that the more you are yourself, the more successful you will be. I’ve seen it time and time again while helping my clients build their brands that bringing all of them into their brand… all of their different personalities, if you will, is what attracts your ideal clients & audience to you. Just remember, people like to make it seem like things happen over night but you don’t see the years of experience and momentum they’ve have to attain to get to where they are. You will always win and success is inevitable if you keep going.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Everywhere you look in Miami, you are surrounded by beautiful architecture and palm trees. I love driving around seeing all of the Art Deco style buildings and discovering new brunch spots, rooftop bars or chic hotel pools. Another one of my favorite spots to visit is the Wynwood Walls. There are a lot of local shops surrounding the artwork but the artwork itself is such an incredible place to get inspired! Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Success is never built alone and I have plenty of people to thank for mine – ones I personally know & ones I don’t. To start, my husband, Jake, has been my biggest supporter as I’ve been building my business, I 100% couldn’t do this without him. I also have to thank my life coach/business coach/product developer, Elyse Conroy, for helping me step into my own greatness, along with my accountability women, Andrea, Mariya & Ashley. There are so many books I could share but here are four books in particular that have been pivotal in my success: Aesthetics Intelligence by Pauline Brown; Alchemy: The Dark Art and Curious Science of Creating Magic in Brands, Business, and Life by Rory Sutherland, The Success Principles by Jack Canfield & You’re A Badass At Making Money by Jen Sincero.
