We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Wynette Green and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr. Wynette, what do you want your legacy to be?
I want my legacy to be one where when someone mentions my name or thinks about me, they will be able to say that I made a positive influence or impact on their lives. I want it to be one where my fellow clients, students, friends and family members will be able to share stories of how we found solutions together; and working together lives were changed for the better. Lastly, I want my legacy to be one where my children and my children’s children will feel proud and be determined to also be a helper and inspiration in their communities. I want people to remember a person that instilled hope and a belief that they deserve to be happy and to live their best lives, regardless. I want them to remember me as an example of someone who “practiced what she preached.” A dynamic, risk-taker, hard-worker; yet a genuinely caring and supportive person is what I would love for people to remember about me.
What should our readers know about your business?
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Florida. I’m also the owner of Ac Aspire LLC. My practice specializes in providing therapy to women and couples facing challenges in their personal and professional lives. I am also a adjunct professor at Nova Southeastern University in the Family Therapy program. I love living my best life now on passion as a therapist and an educator. I’m super excited and very proud of my latest project and initiative of inspiring others throughout the world with my new YouTube channel. Here I provide inspirational interviews with others and tips on remaining hopeful and ways of making it through the latest challenging times. My journey has not been easy. However, I overcame every challenge with my faith, strong-willed determination and tenacity that I was going to achieve my goals. I refused to accept “no’s’ or ‘I can’t’ as an option for my ultimate goal of living my best life on purpose. The biggest lesson I’ve learned along the way is to say “yes” in doing the necessary self-work towards being my best authentic self. I want the world to know that “You Do Deserve to be Happy and Live Your Best Life Ever Now!”
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would suggest spending a couple of days on Fort Lauderdale Beach and check out Las Olas shops and restaurants in the evenings. Then I would also advise to set aside a day to head over to Wynwood Art District to enjoy the beautiful, creative artwork. And, if they are vegetarians and looking for an amazing vegan restaurant head over to “The Rabbit Hole” over in Pompano Beach. Lastly, if time permits rent a 1/2 day or a full day out on a yacht and cruise the beautiful South Florida Intercoastal ways.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to give a big, huge shoutout and recognize my core family members who have significantly contributed to my success and who I am today! My mother and father, Acie and Jennie Benson; brother, Kefer Benson; grandparents, Ida and Harvey Hunter and Dorothy and George Parks; my aunts, Linda Sue Ramsey, Michele Hunter Hudson, Ruthie Parks Nealey, Martha Parks, and Debbie Parks. My uncles: George Parks, Jr. , Michael Parks, Keith Hunter, Donald Ramsey, and Lonnie Hudson. And, my godfather, Elton Edden. ,
