We had the good fortune of connecting with Juanma Salazar and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Juanma, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I would believe that risk and success go hand in hand, I believe that without risk there is no success, in most of the successful cases of many professionals and artists there have been great risks that they have taken to get where they are. Personally, I took many risks, I studied engineering, a profession for which my family expected me to have a permanent job, in an office doing documents and engineering things, but when I graduated I wanted to risk turning my life around, I wanted to dedicate myself to an artistic work and creative that is the creation of entertainment content to social networks, I risked my last savings to acquire recording equipment and pay for courses to learn how to edit and act professionally. Entrepreneurship from a very young age is a risk, and the reality is that things can go wrong and go well, even in my process there were things that went wrong and went well, I learned from the bad ones and from the good ones, I enjoyed myself, but all experiences led to grow. Today I look back at all the risks I had and it seems a bit crazy, maybe because I was younger I took those risks with a greater nature, now they are things that I would think twice, but I do not regret anything right now, thanks to having taken Those risks I can say that I am happy, I love what I do and I live from something that I enjoy doing every day, and I think this has led me to be successful in what I do. It should be noted that these risks were not taken by vague thoughts or simple feelings of the moment, I studied various possibilities of what could happen when I turned my professional life around and started spending all my savings. The advice I can give is that risks must be taken but try to minimize them as best as possible, first you have to think about it, study it and make smart decisions.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am an entrepreneur in the area of content creation and social media. I started more than six years ago in this digital world. Where it was not yet as well known or recognized as a profession. Initially it was a couple of years without monetizing and working hard, investing time and money without receiving anything in return, just for the love of art, entertainment and the public. After a long time I began to contact important people in the entertainment environment, I could begin to monetize my art and my knowledge, creating valuable productions for brands and companies, also doing entertainment free of hate, yellowishness and negative elements, we do social entertainment healthy average suitable for the whole family. Today I am fortunate to advise artists and companies in the United States to grow their audience on social media and connect more with their target audience. I specialize in brands and artists that are convenient for them to have a Hispanic audience on their social networks.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
In the Florida area there are too many places to visit, Key West, Everglades, Miami Beach, Key Biscane, Miami Artist District, Hard Rock Hotel are unmissable places to visit when my family and friends come to FL. I also really like to take them to the Orlando area and the west coast of South Florida.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family (parents and grandparents) have been a fundamental piece in the person, professional and artist that I am today, they were always there to educate me, advise me and above all support me, support me in decisions that even they did not understand, because they were on topics that they had no knowledge. But they knew the ethics and morals that they transmitted to me in their education, and they were sure of me. And my wife, Laura Malagon, has been a driving force for me and my artistic life, she has been the person who has believed in my abilities since my beginnings and has always supported me in all my ideas, no matter how risky they may be. She has always been there for me, she has believed in me and that has been fundamental to get to where I am today. And I attribute my success a lot to my passion for education, I am always learning, taking courses, watching video tutorials, I am always curious to understand how everything I need for my career works.
