We had the good fortune of connecting with Agnes Saint Preux and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Agnes, what role has risk played in your life or career?

To me, taking risks are the opportunities of uncertainty. Throughout my whole life I’ve had to take a risk to improve in an area that would benefit me for the long run. I never knew the outcome but I know that God is with me always. I remember the first risk I took! I quit my job as a legal assistant at 23 years old and wanted to figure out my purpose in life. This was such a huge risk and improperly planned, but the end results was sooo much greater and I can say, I think I’m walking in my purpose now. As an entrepreneur I’m learning everyday is a risk, you’re either going to make your vision come to life or miss an opportunity that won’t come back. Risk-taking are important decisions that you can’t ever get back, but if you have wise counsel, a solid plan and you’ve assessed the outcome; then take that risk or miss the chance that can possibly be beneficial to you. Lastly, you have to stand firm and believe in yourself that the outcome whether good or bad is a lesson in disguise.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

My name is Agnes Saint Preux and I hold a Graduate Degree from FIU in Health Service Administration. I started Omega Health Services my first year in grad school and took interest in the different avenues I can explore as a healthcare professional. What sets me apart from other businesses that does similar work is my compassion to help those in need. Yes, we say we are grateful for our hands and feet, eyes and ears, but are we really?? I think I found my passion I started working with those who are limited in caring for themselves. Omega Health Services is a licensed homemaker and companion agency that provides homecare assistance to adults with disabilities and the elderly. I’m excited that we are expanding our services to provide more hands on training to teach adults with disabilities workforce skills and provide a safe space for them to partake in meaningful activities throughout the day. As a business owner you learn something new everyday and I believe my biggest take away is to know that my business/work has value in the world, No matter the industry, as long as it can be beneficial to someone, the grind to go harder will push you further to great heights! I also own a second business as I am a certified grant writer and a member of Grant Professionals Association (GPA). I and my partner assist small businesses and nonprofit organizations find funding through grants and government contracts. Feel free to check out The Alliance Building Network on Facebook if you are interested in learning more about government contracts and other resources needed to grow your business! So far we’ve helped small businesses and nonprofit organizations acquire over $250k in grants from Covid relief funding.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

Wynwood is one of the most popular places to be when in Miami. I would definitely take a friend there because of the different sceneries you can encounter in just one night. There’s a variety of food options from different cultures that are to die for vegan, Indian, Latin etc.., since I’m a cheese lover, I would definitely dine in at the Famous House of Mac. There’s so much to do in the heart of Wynwood, such as shopping at the design district and most importantly, we can take some cool pics for instagram/fb. Our next stop for a night out in Wynwood would be to take a stroll viewing all the different murals on each street; and to top off the night, we would spend our time bar hopping enjoying an quality food and drinks!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There’s so many people I’d love to shout out but there are two people dear to me that has helped me understand the meaning of sacrifice. My two sisters Majorie and Rolande. They are always reminding me that the work I’m doing is not for myself or recognition. I love how they pour into me without ever exploiting the areas in where I fail. My shoutout and respect goes to them always for watching me grow up from a young girl into a business woman ❤️

Lastly, my two sons, Gabriel and Robert, shoutout to them because they make me grind hard so that when they get older they can grind even harder!!
