Meet Jonathan Marcel | Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jonathan Marcel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jonathan, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I always had this love for music, bet i had never actually put time into it until December 2019. There’s this saying that goes like “You what you love, and make profit out of it” so that was really my goal, to make profit doing what i love most.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Hey, my name is Gleewos, (Jonathan Marcel) and I’m a 22 year old, proud Haitian that makes HipHop/Rap and Afro music. I am really excited about how far i came (music experience wise) since December 2019. You can actually see/hear the difference in the songs. The thing is, you always have to keep pushing. Push, push, push. Not every day will be a good day, not every week will be a good week, you just have to stay motivated and remind yourself why you started this in the first place. And i learned that not everyone will like what you do, and that’s something you just have to accept, but on another note, a lot of people will actually like what you’re doing, just always make sure to make progress. I want the world to know that even though no one in my family wanted this for me, i still chose to take my own path making music, actually doing what i love and it is a risk i am willing to take, so i will be patient, and see where this path takes me.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shout out all the fans that truly support me, they really encourage me to continue what i am doing. Its a truly amazing thing when you’re doing something that makes other people happy
