We had the good fortune of connecting with Shantel Christie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shantel, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Well I was a flight attendant. Covid -19 hit I was still working . But the person I am , I always thinking two steps ahead. I renew my skin care license and told myself I’m going to start my business back up. Just have to take my time and be cautious so that I don’t expose myself and the people around me . Then I got laid off and once Florida started slowly open back up , I slowly start taking clients . At the moment I’m working from home doing facials . My company is called Facials by shae .

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Well simply I’m running a facial business while we are in a pandemic. So at the moment it’s not that easy . Most people are not working . But i have clientele they show love and my business is going steady at the moment . My prices are affordable even tho I am licensed esthetician my price should be higher but I’m home based and We are in a pandemic. So pretty much I’m comprising.

Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
I love Miami. Born and raised in the county dade. Definitely the first place i would take someone to show them around is wynwood, of course the beach, las Olas , The Caribbean parties and fetes, little low key spots around the city, definitely take someone jet skiing to the sandbar, Miami zoo, parrot jungle island, star island , bayside , drive to Orlando and go to the theme parks . There so much places and events .

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
