We had the good fortune of connecting with Christophe Serrano and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christophe, what’s the most important thing you’ve done for your children?
To give them an example by showing that making the choice to choose one’s emotions and to invest oneself to do the job one loves was more fulfilling than making simple choices for purely financial reasons. Because when we manage to live from something we love to do, we don’t feel the hours anymore, we are happy to get up in the morning, we are better, and finally we earn better our life
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The first rule is to be good. If people are willing to pay for what you can do, that’s the beginning of success.
In my case, my identity and what boosted my business is directly linked to the fact that I accepted to take time to be creative and show what I liked to do. By doing photo shoots for me, with my desires and my feeling, my public learned to recognize my sensitivity in my work and as time went by my business evolved. I work a lot, sometimes I stress because in France being self-employed means paying incredibly high taxes, but today I am happy and I would not go back.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I live in Provence. In the south of France. Being the old medieval villages, the beaches in the middle of the rocks and creeks, I do not miss incredible places.
We could start with the small provencal town of Sanary/mer in the south of France
And we would eat in a restaurant in front of the sea in the city of Six-fours
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I will choose the positive by talking about Xavier Navarro and his channel dedicated to training for photographers. His company is called Empara. It is certainly dedicated to the French market but the level of quality of its training is incredible. Meeting and working for him has made me evolve a lot.
A word also for my therapist who helped me to trust myself and to take the step to change my professional life for a job I love.
