We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennifer Sorrentino and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jennifer, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Companionship, pleasure, and service are but a few of the contributions animals make that help our society function. Dogs are one of God’s best creatures and can make a huge difference in the lives of many. From a companion animal to a service dog, dogs can help a person’s day be much brighter.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Established in May 2015, Cash 4 Canines, Inc. is a registered nonprofit 501 (c) 3 organization. Originally started as a means of helping other rescues raise funds, Cash 4 Canines evolved. In 2016, Cash 4 Canines, Inc. decided to become a full-fledged full-time rescue itself. Rescue Rebels was born.

Rescue Rebels has an amazing team of volunteers who are committed to helping companion animals left at shelters, surrendered by their owners or that have been abused and neglected have their “second chance” at life.

A Veterinarian network as well as foster homes extend throughout the State of Florida.

Through this volunteer network, rescued companion animals are provided with care, food, preventatives, medical supplies and training within a secure and loving environment.

Rescue Rebels’ goal is to help one companion animal at a time to:
“overcome their yesterday and rewrite their tomorrow.”

Our TLC Transformation Project helps medical needs dogs get on the road to recovery to become tomorrow’s champions.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
One of my favorite parts of Florida is the Cocoa Beach area. After a day at the beautiful beach, visiting Historic Cocoa Village is a must. Stopping by Tails at the Barkery to pick up some homeade dog treats for the furkids at home is defintely top of the list. Then on to a refreshing drink at Dirty Oar Beer Company for the best beer in town. My favorite restaurant is the the Black Tulip, the service is outstanding and the food is scrumptuous. Living in Florida is like paradise so there are so many different places to love!!!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My Mom and Step Dad instilled good morals, character, and dream big or go home!!! I was instilled with in order to be successful you have to have goals and put forth the effort to reach those goals. Persistance and sustained effort will accomplish what you set out to do. Concentrate on the strategic actions necessary to be a success.

Anything can be accomplished with the right mindset!!
