We had the good fortune of connecting with Vivianne Guarisma and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Vivianne, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor has been putting all of my intentions and love into what I created, and I believe that’s something that people can perceive.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
my passion for baking started at a very early age, as my dad had a couple of coffee shops, where my siblings and I spent a lot of time after school. We got to spend lots of hours in the kitchen and everything about the baking process was fascinating to me.

As I got older I took several baking classes, I perfected my skills creating desserts for birthdays parties and, many other events. I took pride in putting all my love, passion, and dedication into every single dessert, but there was something that became very daunting as I became older and more conscious about the ingredients that go into baking and its effects on people.

I struggled with overweight and what felt like a food and sugar addiction, I had psoriasis and other clear signs that my body was reacting to something that was not natural; so I began my journey to heal myself and share the healing with others.

I wanted to create baked goods that were not harmful to the body, I switched to eating just plant-based, learned more about the food industry and its poisonous ways, and that only fueled my passion to make treats with clean and wholesome ingredients, taking into consideration my love and compassion for the animals and the planet.

This amazing journey brought me to become the founder of Vivianne’s Plant-Based Bakery.

I am now very proud and grateful to be able to create delicious food; taking into consideration that our body is our temple, and we must nourish it with the cleanest, high-quality ingredients and good energy.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Since Im passionate about food I would take us to the indulge all the outstanding vegan food that we have in town from street food vendors to restaurants..

One of my favorite spots to enjoy an outstanding smoothie bowl would be at Raw Juce, Im obsessed with their smoothie bowls, for lunch I would go to Love Life Cafe in Wynwood they have a huge variety on their menu, and for dinner I would choose Planta Queen on Coconut Grove it definitely hits the spot.

During the weekend we can hop at different year round farmers market across the city and at night for a night out a nice place to hang out at is lagniappe the vibe are nice and calm.

To make sure we have a balance we would keep the body moving with a daily 45min online live workout class by my girl Starr Hawkins aka @babymommafit, rollerblading at least once a week for a 7 mile on the boardwalk by the beach and finally some wild goddess yoga led by the best teacher my sister @anaguarisma

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
mom, daughter and sister.

I would like to shoutout to my sister healer and yoga teacher @anaguarisma and my best friend Maryely Tejada which is making a huge impact by creating organic baby food with her brand @ollipopbabyfood.
