We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennet Machete and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jennet, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
It’s simple it’s a feeling. We had our grand opening in February 2020 exactly 3 weeks before lockdown. For some they would look at this time as a cloud of darkness for their business however I felt deep in my body that we would pull through and we did. If you ever come to a crossroads asking yourself if you should give up or continue ask yourself one question. Did I give it my all? If the answer is yes then with no guilt turn down a different path. If the answer is no get up and go harder

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Novi Boca Raton! What is it? We don’t advertise as a “day spa” because we are so much more than that. The employees truly care for the health of our clients and not only their skin but beyond that. Novi Boca Raton isn’t just somewhere you come to get a facial it’s a place you come to feel recharged, motivated, and relaxed. Looking your best has you feeling your best hence Novi means “new”.

Getting here was not an easy ride but with determination and a clear vision we are here and growing. Opening in 2020 3 weeks before lockdown the future was very unclear and with the world being put on pause we were still moving. We thought to ourselves “what are people doing?” “What could they use?” So we put together spa boxes and delivered the spa to clients! In the box you had all of the supplies to have a Novi spa day at home and it was a hit! Shortly after we delivered Mother’s Day spa boxes with bouquets so the dads didn’t have to worry about leaving the house to get mom a gift. We kept busy during the pandemic and even though the world was on lock we were making connections with clients so when it was safe to reopen we were SO excited to finally meet our already established clients.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Living in south Florida I get SO excited when friends and family come to visit.

When coming to Florida you have to do the “Florida things” which includes

Airboat ride in the Everglades (cooper town airboat)

Rent a boat with a captain in Miami (Brushci boat rental)

Gamble at the most beautiful casino
( Hardrock)

As far as eating goes I’m huge on cafes my two favorite cafes is the alchemist in Wilton manor (try the alchemist iced coffee) and the modern rose in Deerfield beach (try the dragon tea)

A laid back place to grab a drink on a Friday night is the wilder in las olas it kinda has a Los Angeles vibe.

Restaurants with a view id definitely check out the beach house in pompano beach it’s right on the beach and has the most delicious food!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Really truly we wouldn’t have been able to get through tough times without the support of our community in Boca Raton, FL.

When covid hit the community really stuck together and helped bring so much traffic to our business by just simply referring friends, purchasing products, and simply staying loyal clients

Forever grateful for our neighbors in Boca Raton
