We had the good fortune of connecting with Liv Talley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Liv, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
I started my business as an effort to bring love to one of the loneliest groups of people: singles

My business is designed to bring closeness to those who feel isolated, love to those who feel unlovable, and connection to those who are seeking companionship.

From the singles I work with in my community, I have averaged about 1 marriage every 3 months. The engagements/marriages that blossom just from people in my audience watching from behind the screen is much higher and I feel so humbled to share that.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I started my business as a dating coach when I was single…

That closeness and connection I want to bring to others? I know it so well because it’s what I needed.

This business has blossomed in unimaginable ways because I have. The deeper I dig into self-compassion and acceptance, the better I’m able to coach my clients and show my audience what’s possible for them.

As you can probably imagine—being a single dating coach presented all kinds of problems about credibility.

In addition, I have lost more friendships/family relationships in the last two years of my business taking off than in the rest of my life.

There was a time when those trials would have crushed me—but because I work so hard to be the coach who can love clients through their trials, (and with the loyal support system I’ve developed) I can say that I wouldn’t trade where I am to have avoided those losses.

I built this business on my hardships. I started coaching singles 3 months after I was both laid off my job, and assaulted by my ex.

The thing I’m most proud of in my business (due to my closeness with God,) is that all trials can be made into something beautiful—and that’s at the core of what I teach my clients to do.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My husband and I actually honeymooned on Miami Beach! We found the most quaint (and authentic) Italian restaurant around the corner from our hotel and as both an Italian and a foodie, you can take that to the bank!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shoutout my husband, first and foremost. He’s so consistent and supportive in all my endeavors.

Second would be my mentor: Leah Gervais who first pushed me to become a coach and then showed me how.

And of course, my parents and my family who has encouraged and loved me throughout my life.

Last, I credit my ultimate success to my connection to God.
