We had the good fortune of connecting with Adriana Salinas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adriana, what matters most to you?
The value of integrity of our word in this industry is very important to me. It’s my opinion that some of the contracting businesses in Miami seem to lack the importance of coming through for the customer and actually showing up and completing the job they were hired to do.

What should our readers know about your business?
What sets us apart from other businesses is our integrity and the value that we give to the services we provide. Whether its a landscape design that we are creating for our customer or maintenance of many of South Florida’s beautiful plant species, we always strive to provide the very best service possible so we ensure a successful project and a satisfied customer. As a woman owned business, it has been a challenge competing in this industry, but with confidence in my knowledge of design, the ethics behind our business and quality employees, we have carved a niche in this industry that has proven fruitful for us. Our brand, represented by the lotus flower, was inspired by my own personal history, that even through the toughest of upbringings (the murkiest of waters) a beautiful flower can emerge. This transformation is an anology for the way we transform our clients residential space into beautiful and functional gardens and landscapes. We give our customers the opportunity to connect with nature and understand that landscape is more than a copilation of the trees, plants and flowers we install, they are part of Mother Nature and part of us, as a whole, as a well. Although most of us love nature and feel amazing when we are experiencing it, our daily occupations and responsibilities often do not allow us to go further than our own homes. We strive to bring that experience to our customers so they to feel that special connection with nature every time they come home!

Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
I love the diversity of cultures in South Florida and the fact that you can experience them almost anywhere you go. If I had a week with to spend here with a friend I would start out in Brickell continue to Key Biscayne (beach and swimming with dolphins) then head to Viscaya Museum & Gardens in the afternoon and spend evening in Coconut Grove for great restaurants and a bit of night life. Next day of fun would be Design District, Midtown and Wynwood and then to South Beach with afternoon shopping and people watching on Lincoln Road and evening at Joe’s Stone Crab and Ocean Drive. Next day would be Coral Gables, Venetian Pool, Biltmore, Miracle Mile and Little Havana for Cuban food, coffee and salsa dancing! (I’m getting excited just writing this! Lol) Next we would head south to horse country, Fruit and Spice Park, Naus Berry Farms and to Key Largo for some good fish and key lime pie. The following day we would visit Fairchild Tropical Gardens, Deering Estate, Zoo Miami and Monkey Jungle, We would visit downtown Miami, visit the Children’s Science Museum, Miami Art Museum, Jungle Island and catch a show Adrienne Arshe Center and head for some food at Midtown!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to give a shout out to our employees who are dedicated and have stuck with us through all the successes and growing pains of a small business. Without them our team would not be complete and giving life to our projects would not be as successful and fulfilling!
