We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexandra Suozzo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexandra, are you pursuing your passion?
I am pursuing my passion and I can’t imagine life any other way! Acupuncture healed me in so many ways and being able to help others allows me to help myself, as well.. I believe passion is the foundation for a truly good life.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I started Acupuncture By Alex 4 years ago. I had always thought I would work for someone else before I started something of my own, but life never goes as planned! Starting a business is never easy, but nothing great in life is. If you truly want something, you will understand that sacrifice comes with reward. I think what sets me apart is my unique energy and insight. I tailor each treatment to each individual. Also, I pride myself on honesty. I think the modern medical industry has gotten a bad reputation because of the lack of transparency, so I want to restore faith in people’s minds that health care practitioners DO want to help you heal. The most I am proud of is seeing the results. I truly love to help others and when given the opportunity, I feel like I am aligned in my calling. Acupuncture is becoming more widely accepted by the masses as well, so it is exciting to see people more open minded to receiving treatments. I’ve learned many things along the way. Patience is the biggest lesson. Sometimes things happen and may throw your plans off track but, in the end, it is most likely for your highest good! I want people to never lose hope in life, and I wish that everyone awakens the light within. We are all capable of greatness, it is just up to us to realize it!

Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
I love anything outdoors, so I would probably recommend something like visiting a state park – Oleta in Miami. Definitely have to visit Vizcaya Gardens. Blowing Rock in Jupiter is beautiful, as well. I know it will sound bad, but I am such a homebody – I rarely eat out so I go with the flow when friends want to go to restaurants.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My parents deserve all of the credit in my story. I was adopted from Ukraine as a baby, so without them I have no idea where I would be in life, They never pressured me to follow a path that I didn’t feel true in. They always supported me through the best and worst moments. Through every victory and uncertainty. They are my heroes!
