We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Mock and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, what principle do you value most?
The most important values that are most important to me is to have compassion towards others and show the upmost integrity. Have an open mind to discuss important topics with someone who may disagree AND be loyal to yourself and to others. Everyone who truly knows me would say I am a loyal friend, wife, sister and daughter. I would do ANYTHING for my loved ones! Having strong values has always been important because they have helped me to grow and develop into who I am today. My parents raised my sister and I to never judge anyone or anything and to treat individuals as equally as possible, without regard to race, culture, or ethnicity. I thank my parents for instilling this into me at a young age. Everyday I am making sure I instill these same values into our sweet little daughter.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a loan officer at Group One Mortgage with the Dynamic Lending team and I help people with their financial needs in purchasing of their new home or refinancing current. When I get a new lead, I have an in-depth conversation of how much money they would like to spend and I take the time to structure the loan that best suits the client. My roll is to review prospective clients financial background to determine whether they will be able to borrow money. They have to trust me in guiding them throughout the loan process. My networking has gotten me to where I am today. I love building relationships with people and truly getting to know them personally. I am not a surface person! If I have a good connection with someone then I nurture that relationship, not just build the relationship. That has always come naturally for me and how I have found success. Growing up, my parents always told my sister and I to be independent women and know the value to a dollar. I believe this advice at a young age has given me the discipline to grow as an individual. My experiences both professionally and personally has been so impactful in who I am becoming as a person. I could not have gotten to where I am without my parents. Getting my mortgage license was not easy. I had a newborn baby, I was breastfeeding, and I had zero clarity in my mind. I failed the several times and wanted to give up immediately because I was so overwhelmed having a little human and taking the time to study. Through many tears and yelling rants, I passed the test and never looked back. Perseverance comes to mind! If you stay focused then you can accomplish your goals even if it takes longer than you anticipated. And NEVER compare yourself to others. Be your own competition. And most importantly support all women. We need each other! Boss up and create your own lane.

Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
My hometown Jupiter Florida is not a hidden secret anymore. It used to be a small fishing, surf town but now it is exploded into a well known vacation spot. So many people have migrated to this beautiful little city and I cannot blame them. It is gorgeous. When friends visit the first thing we do is take them on the boat. I swear we have the most turquoise blue water that comes through our inlet and it is truly mesmerizing. Then we will eat dinner at Jetty’s restaurant that sits directly across from Jupiter Lighthouse. Something about having a delicious dinner on the water looking up at the scenic lighthouse is magical. Another great place to dine is Christopher’s Kitchen. It is a local vegan restaurant and the pizza’s are to die for. I follow a plant based diet so this is my usual hot spot for dining. A few of my other favorites is, Leftover’s, Josco and The Cooper. I just have to ask for a vegan option which they usually make for me. For an active day, I would introduce my friend to Riverbend park. You are surrounded by wildlife and peaceful trails surrounded by gorgeous nature that makes you appreciate life on this planet that we are living on. Seeing all the little critters on the walking/bike trails has a profund impact on my happiness. For entertainment we would go to The Square Group , Maxi’s Line Up or Double Roads.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Ooh, this is a great question. Other than my family and friends who supported me along this journey that I live, I would have to say my husband, Casey. His constant support and encouragement keeps me going everyday. There is no “clock out time” in the mortgage business and he knows to pick up where I left off with no words said. For that, I thank you!
