We had the good fortune of connecting with Carla Dilorenzo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Carla, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Quality over Quantity. When you provide excellent service, always reassuring your customers that what you are selling is amazing, and persistency are key factors behind my success. Honesty & Quality play a very important roll. Customers always come back when they realize that you weren’t trying to sell them a product, you were educating them on the quality and why you choose to carry that specific product.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have been in the restaurant business for over 20 years; however, it was not until 3 years ago that I completely submerged my work into social media and gave myself and the restaurant a new platform and brand. Like everything in life, it took a lot of hard work, dedication, and sleepless nights, but passion and coffee helped me keep going! Along the way, I have learned to create connections in West Kendall to collaborate with each other, promote each other, and essentially help each other thrive in the industry. I want the world to know that I am authentic and real; I don’t consider myself a salesperson, I try to be as honest as possible when it comes to my products, my food, and my quality.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would recommend starting every morning off with Matcha paired with avocado toast from Magic City Perks Cafe. For lunch, I would recommend Hate Monday’s Tavern, Mr. & Mrs. Bun, FreschCo Fish, and Tacos & Tattoos. For dinner, I would recommend Vacillate Wine Bar, Strange Beast Brewery, and my favorite Japanese restaurant Shibui. For dessert, I would take my best friend to try my collaboration ice cream with Sweet Melody. And then she’d complain because I made her gain 20 pounds from all this fire food!
