We had the good fortune of connecting with Catherine Ramirez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Catherine, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
Success is a very interesting and powerful word. It can be defined in different ways for each of us. In my case, things that have helped me grow and achieve new goals are definitely: focus, time management and consistency. When I set my mind on something, the first thing I do is create a plan, write down what are the steps to getting from point A to B. After I have my map clear, I organize my time, my days and energy into putting the work and focus on that. Once you stay consistent, things will start to happen. We all have wants and desires in life but, it’s up to us to go from “wanting” to “achieving”.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Besides of being an Etiquette & Pageant Coach, I work in Marketing as a Business Development Administrator. What I like the most of working in this field is that I’m able to merge my Communication degree with creative events on a constant basis. Switching from working in Media to Marketing did not happen overnight. Back when I was living in New York, I was juggling an administrative job with my work with Telemundo, Modeling and the birth of Etiquette 360. Ever since I relocated to Miami, I realized that media jobs can be very unstable and since I wanted to focus on building my coaching business, I decided to continue working in the administrative field and what better way to keep my creativity going than a in marketing?! I’m grateful for this new experience which has allowed me to learn new skills that I can use to continue building Etiquette 360.
Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
These are a few of my favorite places to visit and let yourself be captivated by their environment, beauty and breeze! If you’re looking to have a fun time with great music, food, people and drinks, Barsecco is the place! For all my ceviche lovers, also in the downtown area, go ahead and dive into a delicious platter at CVI.CHE 105! And, if you’re looking for a great view, high end dinning and to be surrounded by glam, your destination is definitely Juvia right on Miami Beach.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a big shoutout to all the girls who have trusted my skills and experience to be coached for their next big competition or acquiring Lady like manners and social graces. I keep a special place in my heart for each one of you and it brings me joy to see you all succeeding in different paths of life. Another shoutout to Marianne Domenech who has believed in me and seen my trajectory in the last 10 years, and with this I’m proud to announce that she is now part of Etiquette 360 as our Digital Content Producer! Thank you all for believing in me and being part of this project creating Ladies & Queens one girl at a time!
