We had the good fortune of connecting with Chade’ Lopez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chade’, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
Enjoy the journey. So often we forget about our North Star and become more committed to goals that aren’t promised than enjoying the process and all that comes with being an entrepreneur. While there is no set formula for becoming a successful entrepreneur, we have the opportunity to create, build, expand and discover.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As I am source, I am able create. Entrepreneurship through connection, retail, networking, speaking and digital marketing has been my art of bringing my vision to life in a tangible way. My art looks like transforming my visions into reality. This reality then has the ability to positively impact those who opt to dwell in the energy my art offers.

I believe that what sets my brand apart from others is its ability to influence in various ways through taboo topics like menstrual health and total feminine wellness. We have an audience that is multigenerational, multiracial, and one that stems from various financial backgrounds. Today, Girlish can connect with these assorted audiences by our ability to be relatable.

My professional background is where it’s at today because of my capacity to keep pushing through while keeping God first and making sure that my steps are aligned with my purpose. That’s what creates success. Am I only going to do what I love? Or am I making an impact? Am I in alignment with my purpose? Yes. Challenges will occur. You overcome by making sure that your North Star is clear and that you aren’t too tied to what you ‘want’ the outcome to be. I’ve learned to be flexible in my goals while still being extremely discerning.

The world should know that Girlish is led through social impact with a goal of being the focal point for total wellness for all identifying women and a source of learning to those raising, supporting, and connecting with our girls.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Hands down, the first place we are going to go to is Sparrow Rooftop! This must be one of my favorite Restaurant/Lounges in Ft Lauderdale. The view is spectacular, the music is always flowing, and the dishes are well-made. The next day, it’s going to be all about self-care. We are going to visit the Aurora MedSpa and check out some of their services to feel good inside and out. Throughout the week, we’ll make it a point to do some food truck hopping which will include Dynamic Cuisines by chef KookinwithKryssi as well as Soca Ranch truck to enjoy some amazing shrimp burgers with garlic sauce. The last two places to top of my friend’s visit would be Rise-n-Toast a Brunch party with the best Caribbean DJ’s, followed by RedRooster the basement bashment led by DJ Iicons.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
This is easy! I am happy to recognize the ladies of the PopUp SOFLO. PopUp SOFLO (South Florida) is a networking group composed of talented women creating spaces for other entrepreneurs and local service providers. This group of women always take the time to support my endeavors while providing encouragement and constructive criticism.
