We had the good fortune of connecting with Cliff Neptune and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cliff, is there something you believe many others might not?
Some people like to say: don’t let your dreams interfere with your life. I say: don’t let life interfere with your dreams.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve been an independent artist from day one. I’ve never worked with a label or had financial support from investors. Everything that I’ve achieved has been a product of my work and passion. But I have met some amazing people along the way. I’ve collaborated with multi Grammy award producers and some of the best engineers in the world. One of my recent collaborations was a single titled “I’m Not Invincible”, featured on the “2 AM” album by Wender, which climbed to number one the iTunes chart in Italy on the night it was released. I am currently working on my first studio album “#AONNON” (All Or Nothing, Now Or Never), which is scheduled to drop this fall. Watch for the singles coming out this summer, too!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them shopping at Brickell City Center. Then I would go take them to Toscana Divino, which is one of the most authentic Italian restaurants in Miami. We would have drinks and listen to great R&B and Hip Hop DJ’s at Bodega and probably wind up in one of David Grutman’s night clubs. During the day, I would probably take them on a jet ski ride from South Beach to Brickell or Key Biscayne to take in the amazing city landscapes. Miami is the Magic City!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We don’t always get support from our loved ones and people who are close to us. You just have to believe in your dreams and keep going no matter what. Now that I am pursuing my passion as an artist, I’ve come to realize that some of my biggest, most genuine supporters are people I’ve never even met in person. It’s amazing how much support I receive from people all around the world. Pursuing a dream is never simple. It takes full commitment, discipline, and a strong work ethic.
