We had the good fortune of connecting with Daniela Cifelli and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Daniela, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
When I started I was obsessed with working 18 hours a day in order to reach the goal faster. And yes, I love working, in fact I am in therapy for being a workadholic, and it is a very common condition among entrepreneurs, although few admit it. And this happens because we feel so passionate about what we do that work becomes our way of living, and life becomes a job to do. And it’s okay to push yourself, and want to be the best at everything. But after 2 continuous years working almost 20 hours a day, I can say that I have achieved many results in my business, but stress has triggered autoimmune diseases, such as alopecia and uncontrolled thyroid. Nowadays I know many things that allow me to delegate my business in the hands of my work team, but it cost me part of my health. If you are an entrepreneur, and you want some advice: the first thing you should do is learn to sell to have cashflow and, the second is to delegate, and the third, learn to DELEGATE as soon as you are already invoicing and covering your expenses. There is no use sacrificing your health for 5,000, 10,000 or a few thousand more. If you take care of your health from the beginning, your probability of success in the long run will be greater. So yes, I support work-life balance. It cost me part of my health to learn it. Nowadays, I get up at 6:00 a.m., exercise and meditate until 8:00 a.m., then I invest in the stock market during mid-morning, then I go into meetings with my clients, and in the afternoon I attend 4 hours the tasks of my business. At 6pm, I begin to study the subject in which I am training to improve what I do, and at 8 I am going to read until 9. And at 10:00pm I am already sleeping. Before, I would get up at 7:00 am and work until 2:00 am and that was what triggered my alopecia. So please watch your habits. Start today to build a healthy routine for your life, and I promise you that you will be productive, which will become money for your business.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Tell us more about your business. We would love to know what sets you apart from others, what makes you most proud or excited. How did you get to where you are today in terms of business? It was easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you have learned along the way? What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
We have a mentoring business for coaching, consulting, marketing agencies, and online training, where we teach them how to generate customers, connect with them, sell, and automate processes to scale their billing. With great joy I can say that we care about the results of our clients. All of our support is personalized. We are against robot-like treatment. All of our clients’ cases are personal to us and we do not leave them adrift, as usually happens in most co-consulting or coaching businesses, which give you the information in re-recorded modules, and then leave you alone in a nest of sharks. We really work so that the client achieves results and feels the same emotion that we do when selling their high-value products. It never was easy, and I overcame the challenges by studying, training, paying mentors and learning from their experiences. In difficult times, I just kept insisting and being resilient. The most important lesson is that when you think that this is not going to work, that you visualize yourself in how you would like to be in terms of financial freedom and the life that you would like to have. And every time something negative happens to you, that doesn’t work for you, stop, meditate on the essential questions of your business to improve: what is the competition doing? What can I do better than the competition to differentiate myself? What have been the frequently asked questions from my prospects or clients? And, when you get the answers, continue to act. Another important lesson is knowing how to be efficient. The organization of your tasks will allow you to give priority to the most important things and execute action on it. For me, the most important thing is to start selling, to have the cash flow that allows the operation of the business. You don’t have to have everything perfect to boot, just boot! and then along the way and with experience you improve and modify. But never stop looking for new ways to improve. My story. I just want to be remembered as someone who supported entrepreneurs and businessmen to be better professionals through perseverance and vision, and that word without action is useless, success is built with the hands, each dream is accompanied by action
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The place I love the most in Florida is Sarasota, its beaches and its restaurants. It really is the only thing I like about Florida. Otherwise, I would take it to California. I love California, its mountains, its mountaintop restaurants, its Temecula-like vineyards or ski resorts, or little Italy in San Diego.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First of all, to God for giving me the skills. My boss that I had before starting a business, who gave me his support to start my own business, then my parents for trusting me and investing in my business, my mentor Sebas Gaviria, my clients who have trusted me and my team of work that has supported me from the beginning.
