We had the good fortune of connecting with Logan Poos and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Logan, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
What inspires me? That is a great question and definitely one of my favorites. I believe inspiration is the most important thing in the beginning stages of starting a business, especially for small businesses. For me, the ocean was and still is my number one inspiration followed by my travels. The ocean has always been my happy place, a safe place, and the place where my creativity blooms. From the colors to the textures to the sounds. I find myself incorporating shells into the majority of my pieces. My travels have also been a huge inspiration to me. This company originally started because of my desire to create gold bangles with sea glass and shells I found on the North Shore of Oahu in Hawaii. Of course, as you grow your company does as well. As I traveled to places like New York City and The Hamptons, my visions, designs, and goals evolved to include much more than just beachy pieces.

Please tell us more about your business. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today business-wise. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
Setting yourself apart is huge in the jewelry industry. It’s a large industry with lots of competition. With that being said, I think not placing tons of focus on that has been a huge help for me. I’ve learned and grown through these three years of owning this small business tremendously. Yes, every business has challenges and I’d be lying if I said everything has gone just the way I envisioned up to this point. It is how you grow from challenges that matters the most. I want people to know that no matter what you put out in the world, someone will love it. Don’t let anything hold you back. Follow your dreams and be true to yourself. That has been my number one take away. Be authentic, dig deep, and use your creativity. Everyone has different visions and designs. There’s room for everyone. This company represents love, light, and connections. Loving people through these pieces. People love a brand for the story it carries and the faces behind it. Stay true to that.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc. In your view what are some of the most fun, interesting, exciting people, places or things to check out?
Oh, this is a fun question. I love this!! Living on Palm Beach Island there is so many fun, beautiful places to see and some of the best restaurants in my opinion. Since my best friend and I are surfers I am sure a lot of the week would be spent at the beach. Depending on the waves, there are plenty of fun surf spots I would take her to. After a morning of surfing, I would take her to grab a juice at Celis Produce. Celis is my favorite local organic juice shop that has a great selection of healthy options. Followed by a yummy juice. I would take her on a skate around the island. We have the best bike trail that goes along the intercoastal and it has the most gorgeous views. Following our skate, I would decide on one of the many delicious dinner places. Echo is definitely a favorite for me and has the best sushi and Asian food. That sounds like a perfect day in Palm Beach to me!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I love this question! In the end, it’s the people and support around you that make the most impact on what your company becomes. I have been blessed to have multiple mentors that have helped me shape this company. I don’t think it’s appropriate to only dedicate a shoutout to one person but to show appreciation to a couple. I would say my brother is one of my biggest supporters. He has been there since the beginning and continues to help every day with everything from inspiration to financial guidance to everyday encouragement. Next, I would say Christina Coniglio, design director at Loveshackfancy and a Palm Beach local. Christina’s style, vibe, and creativity inspire me to my core.
