Meet Aaron Burnett | Musician and music producer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Aaron Burnett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aaron, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I pursued a music artist career because ever since I was a child I always had a natural ability to excel in the arts. I began drawing and painting when I was about 5 years old in Greece and I’ve always been compelled to create art. I’m pretty surprised that after all this hard work I have two Grammy certificates and a solid resume. It goes to show that hard work does actually pay off!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a two time Grammy winning saxophonist/composer/producer who has played in over 46 countries. Currently I’m juxtapositioning electronic dance music and popular music with jazz to present a new experience for the audience in which I reverse engineer electronic dance music into a format were it can be played with a band using ableton live. My brand is a future music brand and I’ve gotten to this point thru extremely diligent hard work.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite place to go in miami is definitely Wynwood and hit up north Miami Beach. Those are my top places in miami

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to take this time to shout out Esperanza Spalding for such amazing opportunities to perform and create, Ravi Coltrane for being a great mentor, and many others in the music industry who believe in me and encourage me to be great!
