We had the good fortune of connecting with Abel Sanchez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Abel, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Passion, history, culture and originality. Perhaps being passionate about history, culture and originality is a better way to put it. I’ve always believed The Miami Stadium Collection is where history and culture collide. When Cushy Gigs aka MSG Cartel approached me about working together we all knew we had to come correct. They get the vision and that’s huge because communication is everything. Often told we’re in our own lane and there is no better compliment.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’ve worked in various fields from hospitality and music retail to ecommerce, freelance transcription, sports collectibles plus time as concierge with both the Miami Marlins and Miami Heat. At the end of the day it’s all about creating the best environment and experience for both coworkers and customers. My IG @Miamistadium has been a labor of love for six years now, it’s a very cool way to share local history and a creative outlet far as my shirt designs and more.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Miami never sleeps lol so there is no shortage of cool spots, sporting events, food options etc best time ever could be anything from drinks at The Corner Miami or live music around town to a late night slice at Steve’s Pizza off Biscayne Blvd. I mean how many cities have a spot like Mary’s Coin Laundry that serves up everything from cafecitos to killer pan con bistec through their ventanita 24/7? Club Deuce on South Beach is still a must, legendary dive.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I always have to show love & respect to Cushy Gigs aka MSG Cartel. They bring my vision and concepts to life. I simply could not do this without them. Everything is created in house from designs to screen printing, Made in Allapattah.
