We had the good fortune of connecting with Adaliz Calderon and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Adaliz, how do you think about risk?
For me taking risks is key both in my personal and professional life. I associate risk-taking with getting out of your comfort zone. And as they say, “great things await you on the other side of your comfort zone”
This is something that I have been able to live throughout my life, from ending toxic relationships, moving from my land to seeking a better quality of life and job opportunity. Doing interviews in a language that is not my native language, saying yes to opportunities without knowing how I was going to achieve them.
And so I could go on mentioning. The important thing here is what I have obtained after all those risks and those that I have not mentioned, they have been magical moments, professional opportunities, and on a personal level, super powerful.
They have helped me recognize and reaffirm my power. Every day, learn what things I am capable of achieving. To trust more and more in me and fear failure less. In the end, failure is part of life, like mistakes, without them we will not be able to learn, grow and evolve.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am an Author, Certified Leadership and Life Coach, certified Women’s Circle Facilitator, founder of Reconquistate Mujer, and Somatic Sex Educator. I teach professionals, businesswomen and executives women to lower their levels of stress, emotional and mental exhaustion, applying love and pleasure. By breaking emotional ties, creating a new belief system, and owning their divine feminine. In short a Divine Feminine Mentor. Wife, mom of 3 children (23, 19, and 17 years old) and a beautiful Goldendoodle named Zeus.
I got to what I do today, after a very close person, on a New Year’s Eve, said “live a life with purpose. what was my purpose? Was the question that I said to myself at that moment.
After doing several exercises for this purpose, they all gave me the same result, I am passionate about helping others. There began my search for ways in which I could help others and that could be my job. I wanted it to be addressed to women, in order to use my lived experiences, to be able to inspire and support them.
That’s when I discovered Coaching. After being certified as a Coach, I have continued my professional and personal development, in order to help women in a more comprehensive and holistic way.
What I love most about my job is seeing how each woman I have supported changes her life, her relationship with her, and with those around her. I have seen how an entire family changes its dynamics, for the simple fact of a woman doing her internal work. It is wonderful to see those changes and to see them achieve their greatest dreams/goals.
That leads me to write my first book “Volver A Ti” to help women around the world, come back home, their souls. Create their own belief system, give theme self to be vulnerable, live life from its essence, and love themself without taboos
Certainly, the road has not been easy, I have had many challenges. The best way to overcome them has been by strengthening my confidence in myself, connecting with my intuition, asking for help (a task that many avoid, for fear of appearing “weak”), listening more to my soul/body, and allowing myself to make mistakes in order to learn from them.
In this journey of entrepreneurship, I have learned several lessons. I think the most important has been not wasting time comparing yourself to others and rather using that time and energy to strengthen your self-esteem/self-love, which are the wings of authenticity.
Once you recognize yourself as the unique person you are and stop seeing others as a threat, your business will not be at a disadvantage. Rather in the advantage that it is operated by a self-confident person, who allows themself to be authentic and not be a person that is not. That attracts opportunities and the ideal client, the client aligned with your energy.
There may be ten people doing the same thing as you, but you have your own unique way of doing it, and that sets you apart.
I would love for the world to know that love is the basis of everything and it begins with each one of us. Love heals!! Also, they allow themselves to live conscious sexuality in fullness. Sexual energy is the most powerful human being has and is our birthright. That’s why my motto is “love yourself without taboos”
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First of all, to each of the women who have entrusted their process to me. I have much to thank each of the professionals who have been part of my healing and growth process. I have worked with psychologists, spiritual guides, business mentors and each one has contributed so much to my life.
Also to each of the souls, who have supported me or collaborated with me in each of my projects or simply listened to me when they give me moments of frustration lol.
Finally, to my relatives, husband, children, mother, and brothers, because they have been my life teachers. Those who have taught me what it was up to me to heal and enter my internal processes.
