We had the good fortune of connecting with Adam Wilber and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adam, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
As a professional magician, the pandemic really brought my work to a screeching halt so instead of sitting around doing nothing we decided to start an Eccomerce business and try to make the best use of the time we seemed to have a lot more of. We set out to build the online magic shop we had always wished existed. No false advertising, only high quality props that have all been real-world tested by myself to make sure they get the impact they should before selling them to the community.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art is a very special type of artform in that we (magicians) practice for decades and if we have done our job correctly then nobody should see a single thing we practiced as it is meant to be hidden. We trick people so that they can understand the truth that nothing is impossible and sometimes the things we feel are simply not possible, actually can be examples of wonder and astonishment.

The world need wonder and my artform specializes in giving people just that, a moment of wonder, of disconnection from the outside world, and a feeling that anything can be possible no more how far-fetched it may seem.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would bring them to Mount Washington for a bike hike in the woods followed by a stop at barberry smoothies and then to the waterfront of Lake Winnipesaukee

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to dedicate this to my children for always motivating me to do my best, work hard and be nice to people. They are my daily motivation to be a better version of myself than I was yesterday and without them, I’m not sure I’d be brave enough to take the chances I have in building this business.
