We had the good fortune of connecting with Adria Noa and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Adria, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I started my waxing career working for a national waxing franchise company. I was based in Miami but due to a death in the family I moved to Arizona for a year. I’m Arizona I started a blog about eyebrows called browgamemiami. I missed waxing so It was for fun and I would post stories about being a Waxer and my opinion about celebrity brows. I started an Instagram for it and started getting inquiries about my work. In that time I moved back to Miami, and I started taking appointments at peoples house, like a mobile spa. That’s how it’ started, my followers.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I believe what sets me apart is me as an individual. There are many great artists in my industry. I really have been able to meet many great people and in that 15 min appointment I really get to know them. I’ve grown a lot as a business and as person. Making my art into a business has been a blessing. 3 years ago I would have said it was easy but the pandemic really pushed me to grow more and learn to plan so it was like starting over. I try to give myself time to breathe and enjoy life and at work to enjoy my art. Balance is what I learned. I was impacted which I would say it was de saying but I changed alot. I saw alot of new people since and made new brows. I feel I grew. Not only with new clients but as an artist. During the shutdown in 2020 I thought I wasn’t prepared for what happened and maybe I wouldn’t make it. I know now that I can. Thanks to doing what I love. It really makes me happy. Clients really don’t know how they effect their artist. When I opened up again and saw my clients coming back in smiling, happy to see me. I felt and feel fulfilled.
