We had the good fortune of connecting with Adriana and Amanda and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adriana and Amanda, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Miami Friendors runs vendor markets at different venues in Miami in support of small business owners. With a history in vending ourselves, we loved meeting other small businesses, collaborating with people in the community, and creating relationships with potential future customers. Our vision began to expand as we started discussing events we could run that would incorporated everything we already loved from current vendor markets and marrying it with lots of fun music, good energy vendors and guests, and delicious food and drinks (alcohol too!). A market where the entire family (dog included) can go to eat some good grub, sip a cold brew, shop local vendors, and also play Cornhole or Connect 4 while the kids take a photo with props and get their face painted. Miami Friendors isn’t just any ‘ol market, it’s a market with vibes!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Miami Friendors is different in that we showcase a diverse collection of handmade makers, boutiques, vintage and unique items you can’t easily find in stores. Our guests can enjoy these vendors, a.k.a Friendors, while also enjoying food, drinks, experiences and photo walls that create unforgettable markets.

We believe small business owners and makers are superheroes in disguise. They come together to create a unique community of talent that is unmatched. There is nothing more we admire than a courageous owner who believes in their products, creativity, and vision.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We truly would not be able to do any of this without the support and love from our warm-hearted and beautiful mother, Edith, the encouragement of our sisters/best friends, Erika, Katherine, and Elizabeth, the confidence we receive from the children in our family, Aidyn, Brianna, Joshua, and Jacob, the blessings from Amanda’s husband and my brother-in-law, Jose, the words of wisdom from our step parents, Aimee and Jesus, and the overwhelming energy we receive from our late father, Raul whose presence is invariably felt.
