We had the good fortune of connecting with Ahbdja Depas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ahbdja, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my business, I would say are my family and close friends. Who have supported me when I almost lost everything. They encouraged me to keep pressing forward even when I was at my lowest. They encouraged me to keep fighting when I couldn’t fight no more. But most of all the glory has to be given to God. For it was God that gave me the name of my business. It was God that inspired my brand. So, my friend who created the logo would match the name LightYourFaith Productions to the brand. I needed something that will inspire everyone so, my friend Paul Alexis and I came up with the dove look for my brand. As for a dove represents hope and faith.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Well, I don’t know if this Korea sets me apart from others but I am a ninth grade Latin/African-American history teacher. I know I love my business but I also equally love teaching students to become better than what they are expected to be in the future. I love teaching kids about history the importance of history. It took me eight years to get my degree in teaching but I never gave up even though there were times that I could have. Funny thing is I never wanted to become a teacher my goal after high school is to go to the military and become a United States Marine. But look at me now, Loving what I did not want to become. Lessons that I’ve learned through becoming a teacher is that every child has a purpose in life and it is up to me to understand what each and every one of their purpose are. And I also want to inspire my students to start our own business. What I want others to understand or to know about my business and brand is that all of this started because I have a little boy that used to watch his father perform in a theater and just falling in love with what he did and follow into his footsteps . My father was a theater director back in Haiti and I love every minute that I was with them in the theater. I was not too passionate about becoming an actor but I took some thing from his position which was lighting and started implementing it in churches then I took that and brought it into the events. I started my business at the age of 16. But made it legal back in 2017.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
So I will take my friend up to near Gainesville area. There’s a little town called Fort White. They have this sprain area call Hitchytucknee Waterspring camp. This area has one of the most beautiful spring waters in Florida.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
