Meet Alan y Ana Pignone y Trinchet | Baker, Sales Person & Architect

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alan y Ana Pignone y Trinchet and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alan y Ana, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Balancing work and life can be a real challenge, especially with the constant demands of today’s world. We’ve all experienced those unexpected bumps that remind us to step back and find that balance. For us, it’s been about making work-life balance a priority, even if it means shaking up our routines. Routines are important, of course, but so is taking a moment to appreciate the people and things around us before diving back in. It’s those moments of pause that help us recharge and keep moving forward. This has been our biggest change, learning when to hit the pause button. It’s a challenge we’re still working on mastering.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
We both have different career paths in which we continue to work on. Alan for example is from Uruguay, where sales became his professional path, and it’s a journey that’s led him here to Miami. Despite the change in scenery, he remains in the sales industry while also pursuing his passion for baking. It’s a delicate balancing act, but one that has brought immense fulfillment not only to him but to both of us. We both come from families passionate about cooking and baking. Alan’s mom played a crucial role in shaping his culinary skills, and one of our favorite treats is a cherished family recipe passed down from her. As for me (Ana), my initial aspiration was to become a painter, which ultimately steered me towards the field of architecture. Embracing architecture as my profession, I’ve found a way to balance both my passion for design and my love for cooking, much like Alan. With a family deeply entrenched in culinary delights, the joy of sharing our creations led us to embark on this journey.
Our brand represent us: AyA, stands for Alan y Ana, the (y) reminds us of our latin roots and Delights is because we want to delight the world with our passion for food and baking.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We do live in Miami, and first things first, the Beach, The Keys. We love to go the beach either on our own or with people we love. Either to spend the say or just a sunrise and sunset kind of moment. Sometimes we don’t do it enough, but it is the first thing we would recommend. We love going to Fort Lauderdale and walk Las Olas Blvd. Not only you can spend the day at the beach but there are a lot places to grab a bite and drink.
Then a little bit of sightseeing a walk around Wynwood/Design District/Brickell/Coconut Grove. These are great areas to walk and get to know the diversity of cultures here in Miami.
To show them small/local businesses we will take them to the Farmers and Artisanal Markets. There is quite a variety of locations, and great finds in each of them. e.g. Miami Brickell Underline Farmers & Artisanal Market.
As for the nightlife, we prefer more of a chill vibe, and a little dance here or there. Alan loves beer, there is quite a variety of good local breweries, e.g. Magic 13, Lincolns Beard.
To move our feet we go to Cubatas on 8th street to dance, eat and drink among friends.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Our family and friends are our rock, constantly cheering us on and believing in our journey, urging us to push forward without fear—or at least, with a little less fear! Their constant support and wise advice have been key to our growth. We’re grateful for how they champion our brand, whether it’s spreading the word or lending a hand at markets. They’re not just our biggest fans; they’re also our toughest critics, challenging us to improve every day. And to every AyA Lover out there, your return visits inspire us to keep going and reaffirm that we’re on the right path.
Words can’t fully express our gratitude, but we’re endlessly thankful for each and every one of you
