We had the good fortune of connecting with Albairis Gomez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Albairis, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I think my success and the success of my brand are multifaceted and have been influenced by several factors. It’s been important to be resilient during this process. My ability to adapt, to seize opportunities despite failure. My journey as a Latinx, female, first generation business owner has not been linear, and I have been forced to adapt to feeling comfortable with the uncomfortable. There was no model to tell me what to do or how to do it. I was the only one doing it, at least in my family. Navigating uncharted waters will absolutely push you to fully trust in yourself!

I also poured consistent effort into my goals. I set goals, wrote them out, reviewed them often, and took real, actionable steps to manifest the vision into reality. At times, the steps were small, but they were a part of the bigger picture. They add up!

Discipline is part of the secret recipe here also! There is a quote (not sure who said it) that says “discipline is falling in love with doing hard things everyday until they become easy,” so simply put, but that is it! I am determined to finish what I start. And to add to this concept of discipline, I credit my success to having the discipline to have balance in my life. I make time for my family, friends, taking care of my children and spending time with my husband. I do things that pour into my mental health bucket.

And of course, passion and authenticity. Passion for the work that I am putting out into the world and believing that it can truly transform people’s lives and authenticity by bringing myself to the brand. I am real about who I am at my core and my journey. That is part of my branding. I believe that in order to be truly successful, your brand has to be backed by an audience that feels connected to you, to your story. They have to see themselves in you.

What should our readers know about your business?
I run a private virtual psychotherapy practice and entrepreneurship coaching business based out of NYC. I think what sets me apart from others is that I am a therapist specializing in childhood trauma work AND I help entrepreneurs build their businesses. They are completely different businesses and approaches! but I really enjoy doing them both. I am proud to say that I am the first in my family to establish multiple businesses.

It wasn’t easy to get to where I am today! I had to learn how to build a business from scratch and had a lot to learn along the way. Also fear, so much fear of not knowing the how, when, why. I was able to overcome it by letting myself face the fears and doing the scary stuff anyway. I also aligned myself with other women pursuing their own vision. I think what I have learned along the way is that I will always be learning and something will always be new to me and that is how we grow. And that I have the capacity and resiliency to handle it!

My brand is about helping others find their true essence and spark. I want people to live in alignment with who they truly are and be able to share that with the world. Our time here on planet earth is limited and I want to inspire people to look within and discover who they are at their core and life that everyday.
