We had the good fortune of connecting with Alejandro Bolívar and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alejandro, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Logoespecialista was born from a passion for good design, there are brands that were designed 60 years ago and continue to dictate the rules of modern design, and that leaves a mark that impacts popular culture, industry and people’s lives, I think that in brand design I really found an important work, with a clear purpose for the future, and I didn’t have that when I worked in advertising agencies.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My career as a creative has gone through many facets and I have dedicated myself to constant practice in each of them, advertising helped me to understand creativity in a strategic way and detect the right path to reach ideas that really mean a solution. Working with agencies and big brands I realised that I had a potential that I wasn’t exploiting and I started to feel limited, that motivated me to become independent and start the search for what I am most passionate about, and to be able to give body to my discourse as a creative.

It has been a path marked by discipline, perseverance, a lot of study and practice, opening myself to share what I do with the world, the best thing is that it allowed me to develop a 100% authentic speech, it has been a journey of much renewal and discovery, which has helped me to believe in myself and what I can offer, and that security has been key for my clients to trust the work I do.

If there is something I want to make clear with my work is that there is always fertile ground for new proposals, I consider myself a Dadaist but not of the expression, but of the solutions.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The best thing about my country is its beaches hahahaha, I think that if my friends came here that would be the plan, there is also a spectacular hacienda where they make a premium rum, it is called Hacienda Santa Teresa, I think that this stop is unquestionable to spend a good day, I am a person who loves nature, to get away from the city for me is the best plan, enjoy the local culture of small towns, I think that they are places to find inspiration.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
If there are people to whom I owe the fact that I am building my business it is my family, my mother and brother have been a fundamental support, they have always believed in me and have encouraged me to follow my instinct.
