We had the good fortune of connecting with Alejo Vega and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alejo, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
My end goal… that’s a pretty tough question. After all, where one ends up in a career is a matter of god given talent, persistence, sacrifice, and a little bit of luck. So it’s pretty hard to say where exactly I’ll be professionally by the time I decide to hang em up. Obviously we all set goals to achieve career wise. As an Actor I’d like to achieve a recurring role in a major series or have a great list of acting credits under my belt. As production house we strive to be a common household name. Recognized worldwide.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Being an Actor & Filmmaker, our art is as any other form of art is. As individual as a canvas oil painting made by 2 different artists, this form of art varies by style, preference, and knowledge. So to say one thing that sets me apart from others is just that my individuality. No two actors or filmmakers are the same. Up to this point what I’m most proud of is finally winning an award for “Best Local Actor for SE Region”. An award I won for the portrayal of “Alex Wolf” in “Hand of the Pharaohs” a sci-if/action/adventure film created for the 100 hour film race. Persistence and perseverance Are what have gotten me to where I am now. My don’t quit attitude. Other than that is my faith in God. We are all meant to be something. But when is not determine by you or me… so if it hasn’t happened to anyone reading this, don’t stop! We are all on a different journey so it’s not going to happen to everyone at the same time. Only when you are truly ready, spiritually and mentally can one achieve and get to that next level. Nothing in life is easy. One if not the only lesson I’ve learned is, give it your all every single time, control what you can control, and leave the rest up to god or the universe or whatever you believe. As long as believe in yourself it will happen eventually.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Living in Miami it’s pretty hard to make a List as there is so much to do here… plus I’m a bit of an introvert when not on set or in front of a camera.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My wife, Yaima. She has been my rock, my extra confidence, my never say no when I‘ve doubted myself as everyone does now and then.
