We had the good fortune of connecting with Alex Oliveira and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alex, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
I think of it like the chapters or seasons of life. Balancing life before I had 4 kids looks very different than now where we homeschool 4 kids and run our business from home. At one point I used to travel 60 days out of the year for work. Now most of my travel is with my wife and kids in an RV. Balance is waking up everyday and doing meaningful things with the people you love. It’s about prioritizing goals so I can have the most success from the time I invest in any work I do.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Prediq is in the business of helping companies generate leads for their sales teams. Our experience is vast. We’ve generated over 23 million leads for Fortune 500 companies and more than 3,000 SMBs in the past years. We’re most proud of having contributed to the growth of small businesses. Our growth came from simply doing good work and nurturing our relationships. We have attended hundreds of conferences in the past decade to meet our customers where they are. Certain aspects of the business was easier than others. It doesn’t mean we didn’t encounter the challenges every business experiences as you grow. The hardest part of my business is keeping up with the fast evolving world of technology and digital marketing. The biggest lesson I learned over the years is that I didn’t want to build a company where my team works 24/7. You can be successful and still make your family a priority.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to several spots throughout FL. Definitely Miami Beach, Downtown Miami & Little Havana. Then I would head down to the Keys and the Everglades. As for food I would be making a bbq at the beach in Ft. Lauderdale and then head down to Las Olas for some drinks.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’m lucky to have so many people who have helped me in my journey. My mom, sister and wife are at the top of that list. In particular my wife, Erin, has built multiple businesses with me. Without her talent and work I would not have been able to experience this level of success. Moreover, she has been my closest advisor in any big decisions I’ve made for our business. Whenever I need motivation or someone to bounce ideas off of she’s always been there.
