Meet Alexandra Winkler and Andrea Cohen | Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexandra Winkler and Andrea Cohen and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alexandra and Andrea, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
We are too best friends originally from Venezuela who always wanted to work together. We both are into fashion and grew up surround it by it. Our idea behind our brand is to incorporate fashion with our everyday lifestyle. We want to offer accessories for the on-the-go woman and don’t need to sacrifice comfort over style. With our brand and our products you can go from day to night, gym to work, to going out feeling and looking your best always.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We are most proud of having created a brand that is recognizable. Each and every person that own one of our products is because they truly see the value in it and that is out ultimate goal, offer value to the life of our customers. It was not easy to be where we are right now, specially with competition all around. We spend so much time, effort and resources into branding and content creation and this is one of the main reasons. There will always be challenges and they all come in different size and shape as they say, the best way for us to overcome them is to have a clear path of where we are headed and where we want to be and just focus on our goals without looking sideways. We have learned many lessons throughout our career but one of the biggest one has been that not everything you plan turns out as expected so when things don’t go a certain way or we don’t have a certain outcome, instead of focusing on the negative we just look for different ways and keep on going!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Guess it’s true what they say about Miami “I live where you vacation”. There is always a new restaurant opening and lots of fun plans to do around the city. We are so fortunate to have beaches that we always enjoy some relaxing time by the beach. Midtown/Degisn District area is our favorite area to walk around, grab a bite to eat, enjoy some coffee, feel inspired with boutiques and little concept stores around. Miami scene by night could get a little crazy depending on how you take it but we like to enjoy nice dinners and bars for cocktails. Few of our favorites eating out:
Mandolin, Sushi Erika, Wabi Sabi, Doya, Doma, 27 Restaurant
Few Bars/Drinks
Dante Hi-Fi, Jaguar Sun, Sweet Liberty, The Anderson, The Sylvester, Lagniappe (most underrated but most fun)
Beach Hotels to check out
Miami Edition, Soho House, Faena, Setai

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We believe that who we are today and where we are is thanks to our loyal customers and support from our community, friends and family. We have been lucky enough to grow up in a community of hard working people, small business owner where we can share ideas, problems, and collaborate together to come up with new and inventive ideas.
