We had the good fortune of connecting with Alfredo Sandoval and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alfredo, how does your business help the community?
With my latest project, an interactive book for children and anyone who is young at heart, “The Monsters Life” sets out to teach about fears and how to face them through friendship and courage. This project also serves as a platform for children to write their stories and leave a written legacy.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My path as a designer and creative has not been easy at all. I have had to fight many times to stay on track and not get frustrated by economic factors and outside advisers wanting to tell you what to do. After almost 20 years designing, painting, creating campaigns, animations, products, etc. I bring The Monsters of The Monsters Life to life. Where I expose a lot of what I have learned in all these years since I myself illustrate and animate the characters.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Here in Miami I would take him to eat and have a beer at Localz by Kush in coral gables.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I must first thank God for giving me life and giving me so many opportunities to succeed in different fields. Secondly, to my parents for the effort made to help me have a good education both at home and at school. For this last project that I am doing, I must thank Reggie, who has been my partner character and motivator to continue in the process.
