Hi Alicia, why did you pursue a creative career?
I pursued a career in the artistic and creative field because it allows me to blend my love for food with my passion for aesthetics, which is something I’ve cherished throughout my life. My journey began with Creations in Bloom “Edible Art,” where I’ve had the opportunity to express my creativity through the presentation of charcuterie boards, grazing tables, and edible gift boxes. Each creation is a unique canvas, and I take great joy in designing displays that delight the senses. Growing up in an artistic family profoundly influenced my path. My father was a mirror interior decorator, and my mother was a wedding dress seamstress. Their creativity inspired me from a young age, instilling in me the value of artistry and attention to detail. Additionally, coming from an Italian background, food has always been a central theme in my life. The memories of gathering with family and friends around a beautifully set table have shaped my understanding of the significance of food as a medium for connection and celebration. With over 15 years of experience in a high-end steakhouse, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for exceptional food and service. This combination of culinary expertise and artistic expression fuels my passion for creating beautiful displays that not only look appealing but also bring people together to share in memorable experiences. Ultimately, I believe that food is an art form in itself, and I am dedicated to celebrating that through my work.


Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art revolves around creating edible masterpieces that not only tantalize the taste buds but also captivate the eyes. What sets me apart is my unique approach to presenting edible art, where each box is a reflection of creativity and flavor. I strive to transform my clients’ ideas into reality, often exceeding their expectations. My priority is to ensure my clients are delighted with every creation, and I focus on my own vision rather than concerning myself with the competition.
Additionally, I take pride in crafting my own menu with homemade recipes, which further distinguishes my offerings. As I celebrate my fourth year in this journey, I am filled with gratitude for the heart and soul I invest in my work. My persistence and determination have been my guiding lights; I’ve learned to rise after every fall and to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth. Financial hurdles have certainly posed challenges, but I view each obstacle as a stepping stone toward success. I know that my consistency will lead me to achieve my dreams, no matter how far they may seem. Throughout this journey, I’ve experienced moments of triumph that I once thought were beyond my reach. Delivering my creations to notable personalities and influential clients has been both humbling and exhilarating. It’s a testament to the hard work and dedication I pour into my craft, knowing that these clients could choose anyone but have chosen me. I firmly believe that nothing worth having comes easy. I have built my brand on the principles of hard work, high-quality ingredients, integrity, and unparalleled customer service. Each step has been an opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with wonderful people who support my vision. Ultimately, I want the world to know that I am not just creating beautiful edible art; I am building a community and a brand that reflects my passion and dedication. I am immensely grateful for the support I’ve received along the way, and I look forward to continuing this journey of creativity and connection.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my friend were in town, I would take them on an unforgettable journey through the vibrant Brickell area, where we would explore a plethora of stunning restaurants offering an array of delectable cuisines. A must-visit would be a rooftop restaurant or bar like Astra in Wynwood, where we could soak in breathtaking views while enjoying the lively atmosphere. Afterward, we’d stroll through the artistic streets of Wynwood, marveling at the incredible murals and street art that make this neighborhood so unique. No trip to Miami would be complete without experiencing our picturesque beaches. We could indulge in delightful dinners by the water, watching the sun dip below the horizon as the gentle waves create a soothing soundtrack. I would also love to showcase the hidden gems in my community. We’d kick things off with a quick bite at NQC, our gourmet drive-through, known for its delicious offerings that are perfect for a satisfying meal on the go. Next, we’d stop by Vicky’s for their famous guava and cheese pastelitos, a local delicacy that never disappoints. And I would introduce them to La Rosa Francesa—a charming hole-in-the-wall that surprises and delights with its amazing menu. One of my absolute favorite places is Vignettos, an Italian restaurant in Plantation that has become our go-to spot for a delicious meal. It’s a place that holds a special place in our hearts, having hosted countless gatherings with family and friends, and even catered my daughter’s wedding. The authentic flavors and warm atmosphere make it a must-visit! The Hialeah and Miami Lakes areas are rich with culinary treasures and local flavors that truly reflect the spirit of our community. I can’t wait to share these experiences with anyone looking to discover the vibrant culture and delicious offerings that make this place special!

I want to dedicate my shout-out to my amazing husband Chris, who has been my rock in this journey. His unwavering support, including the gift of a food trailer that allowed me to launch my creations, has been invaluable. My children Melanie and Zachary, dear brother Sergio and all my beautiful family, and friends have all played a crucial role in encouraging me to take this leap and start my business. Their belief in me and my vision has been a constant source of motivation. Lastly, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported my small business from day one.
