Meet Alicia Gonzalez | Authorized House Counsel

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alicia Gonzalez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alicia, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success has been a combination of adaptability and persistence. Moving from Spain to Miami was a major step that required me to embrace a new legal system, industry dynamics, and cultural environment. Being open to constant learning and growth has been essential to thriving in a competitive industry like entertainment.
Another key factor has been building strong relationships. Understanding the needs of creative individuals while balancing legal and business requirements has helped me establish trust and credibility. Additionally, working for a company like WK Entertainment, which fosters a collaborative and supportive environment, has played a crucial role in my growth.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My career began in Spain, where I spent three years working in entertainment and tax law. But I wanted more, so I took the leap and moved to Miami, embracing a whole new world. The transition was tough—new country, new legal system—but it led to my current role at WK Entertainment, where I help manage contracts for some of the biggest Latin music artists.
What sets me apart is my ability to balance legal precision with the creative needs of our artists. It hasn’t been an easy road, but persistence and strong relationships have been key. My journey is all about growth, both for myself and the artists I support, and I couldn’t be more excited about what’s next.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When my mom and two best friends recently came to visit, it was a trip full of emotion. They left in tears, not because they were sad, but because they saw how well I had adapted to Miami and how happy I am, knowing I had found my place here.
If I were to take them on a week-long tour, we’d start with Wynwood’s vibrant art scene, enjoy a sunset at Lido, and then head to South Beach for the iconic Liconln Road to have the best pasta at Osteria Da Fortunata. We’d definitely visit Little Havana for some Cuban culture and music, spend a day in nature at the Everglades or Purpura Island, and close out the trip with a day in Key Biscayne for amazing views and fresh seafood at Rusty Pelican.
The itinerary would also include some luxury and relaxation, exploring the Design District’s shops and art galleries, dining at Mandolin Aegean Bistro, and taking in Miami’s incredible rooftop bars like Sugar. Those experiences would capture Miami’s essence, making for a trip that they wouldn’t forget.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to give a shoutout to my family for their unwavering support, especially during my big move from Spain to Miami. Also, to my colleagues at WK Entertainment, who have mentored and guided me throughout my career. Lastly, to the amazing artists I work with, their creativity and passion inspire me every day and challenge me at the same time. It’s thanks to all of them that I’ve been able to grow and succeed in this journey.
