Meet Allegra Angelo | Partner in Vinya Wine & Co-Founder of Fifth Pour

We had the good fortune of connecting with Allegra Angelo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Allegra, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
Balance means different things to different people—there’s no universal recipe for work-life balance. For me, balance lives within the work itself. I’m always immersed in some project tied to beverages, whether it’s visible to others or not. But with time, I’ve learned to value my hours more. I say “no” more often now, choosing meaningful, high-quality projects over ordinary ones. I’ve shifted from being a “yes” person to someone who sees greater personal and professional reward in my future.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My work is twofold. I’m a partner at Vinya Wine, a wine shop and bar that also runs a full-service off-site catering platform and a dynamic e-commerce business that ships to most states nationwide. We also have a warehouse that strictly focuses on shipping and fulfillment for emerging brands. Most recently, I co-founded Fifth Pour with my partners, Nick Garcia and Sarah Gielchinsky—a niche consulting service for beverage. We operate at the intersection of creativity and commerce. While others focus on the middle, we focus on connecting the bookends: from brand inception to market execution, backwards and forwards, together again. We shape brands that just don’t look good—they move and shake and make you feel something. Our approach combines original thinking with pragmatic, data-driven strategies that convert design into measurable performance.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
