Meet Alyssa Copley | Owner & Founder of Cookie Culture

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alyssa Copley and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alyssa, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I really wanted to start an online business that honored the Lord. I had many different product ideas, but none of them were the right fit until we came up with the idea to sell faith-based cookies (All God’s idea!) This idea allowed us to start a business that impacts people’s lives through our faith-based cookies.

What should our readers know about your business?
1. Please tell us more about your business.
My business specializes in creating unique, faith-inspired cookies that not only taste divine but also carry deeper meanings tied to our spiritual beliefs and ‘cookie culture’. Each cookie is carefully crafted to inspire and uplift, making every bite a meaningful experience. This niche allows us to stand out in the bustling world of baked goods.
2. What sets you apart from others?
What sets us apart is our dedication to blending faith with flavor. Our cookies are not just treats; they are crafted messages that resonate with our customers’ spirits. Additionally, our strong presence on Instagram allows us to connect with a broader audience, sharing our message and our culinary creations with people who value both taste and purpose.
3. What are you most proud of or excited about?
I’m most proud of how we’ve managed to create a community around our cookies. It’s exciting to see people sharing their stories and experiences with our products. Our monthly cookie drawings and special discounts for our email list subscribers have also helped build a loyal following, which is something that fills me with immense pride and excitement.
4. How did you get to where you are today business-wise? Was it easy?
The journey wasn’t easy. Starting from a simple idea to making it a viable business involved numerous challenges, from perfecting recipes to building a brand identity that truly reflects our values.
5. How did you overcome the challenges?
Overcoming these challenges required persistence, faith, and a lot of hard work. Engaging directly with our community through social media played a crucial role in understanding our customers’ needs and preferences, which in turn helped us refine our offerings. Networking with other business owners provided invaluable insights and support.
6. What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way?
One key lesson I’ve learned is the importance of authenticity. Staying true to our values and mission has not only helped in building a brand that resonates with our audience but also in making decisions that align with our long-term vision. Another critical lesson is the need for adaptability; being open to change and ready to tackle new challenges as they come has been essential.
7. What do you want the world to know about your brand and story?
I want the world to know that at the heart of our business is a desire to inspire and uplift through the simple, yet profound, gift of cookies. Our brand is about more than just food; it’s about feeding the soul and fostering a sense of community and connection among people who share our values. Every cookie we bake carries a piece of our heart and a whisper of encouragement to whoever receives it.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We absolutely love hitting the waterway with family and friends, cruising the ocean, taking in the sun and breeze, listening to music and docking at some of the amazing restaurants along the way for a snack 🙂 One of our favorites is Le Tub!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
This company would not be possible without my parents. Growing up, my parents made sure that God was the cornerstone of my life. My family had a firm foundation built on faith and the Truths of the Bible. We went to church every Sunday, prayed before our meals, and my education was steeped in Christian values from kindergarten through high school. My parents were the epitome of a Christ-centered life, and their example laid a strong spiritual foundation for me to have the relationship that I have with God today. With God all things are possible!
