We had the good fortune of connecting with Alyssa Marie and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alyssa, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
Theres a lot of things that make me happy. Music makes me the happiest because its what I love to do and having the support I get from my parents, family, and friends makes me feel very happy because I have a solid support system.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a country pop music, singer/songwriter, and musician from Loxahatchee, Florida. I travel back and forth from Tennessee, (particularly Nashville) to perform, write, and record with other artists. To get where I am today was a lot of hard work, but I am truly blessed to be where I am today. Along the way I really learned who to trust in the industry and also what to do and what not to do about certain situations. I also learned to take feedback from others because it can help in the long run. I want the world to know that there is only one of them, you are the only one of yourself, so be you. Its always hard to be yourself especially when you are around others who do not let you feel that way, which I have learned.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First I would take them to the beach of course and after the beach we could go to this restaurant on the beach in my area. After going to the beach a couple times, I would take them to my favorites places to shop and eat. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My support team consists of many people that my music journey would not be the same without. My mom and dad, number one, because without them I would not be where I am today. Also, having support from my family and friends has helped me majorly because without them I wouldn’t be fulfilled with feedback that could help me grow as an artist. I basically started singing country music also because of Danielle Bradbery. When I saw her on the voice, I fell in love with country music because I noticed that Danielle and I were a lot alike, so I give a lot of credit to her, and also my classical piano teacher who I had begin studying with at the age of 6.
