Meet Amaury Love

We had the good fortune of connecting with Amaury Love and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amaury, what’s your definition for success?
Success to me is internal peace. Attaining material things and accomplishing goals are great only if you’re doing it for a higher purpose. The only way I find myself having a peace of mind is when I am able to provide for my loved ones and help people directly or indirectly. I don’t define success as an external thing, but something internalized. You see the richest people in the world still suffering on the inside. For me, I want reach a place internally where I’m at Peace. This will allow me to become the best version of myself, which is how I’ll be able to align with my purpose and do for the greater good.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
That’s such a complicated question lol. I’ll do my best. Try to answer everything. First and foremost, hip-hop is my life. I can’t remember a time in my life where I wasn’t affected by it. My first favorite rapper as a child was Will Smith. Yeah I know sounds crazy but I was born in 1990 and Fresh Prince of Bel-Air came out in 1989. My favorite movie growing up was House Party 3. Now that I think about it, it makes even more sense why I chose the path I did. I always identified with Kid growing up. Anyways, I’m saying all this to say that hip-hop is always been a part of me and this is why I care about the art form so much.
I want to say I started rapping at 16 but that would be misleading. I did record my first track at 16 but I didn’t end up actually taking rapping serious till I was about 21. Since then making music has been the most consistent thing in my life. There has been an abundance of ups and downs and challenges that I had to overcome. To be honest, most of the challenges were internal. Your thoughts are our precious.. if you’re not in control of the way that you think you can create a reality that you don’t want. Throughout my journey I realize that a lot of the challenges or things that I face were reflections of me that I have yet to conquer.. and if you don’t see the vision yourself or believe it yourself how can you expect anyone else to? This was really the biggest challenge for me in a sense of my rap career. I had to learn how to block out the noise and do what I love doing. There’s a piece of me that had a chip on my shoulder for a long time because it felt as if I was doing this for such a long time and not getting any of the results I wanted.. not only that but facing the challenges of my real life and having to be responsible and make sure that I took care of my responsibilities. That sometimes took me away from the music. Fast-forward now, looking back everything happens for a reason. I know this sounds cliché, but it’s the truth all the random things that I learned along the way and skill says that I picked up all contribute now to what I’m doing in real time. I would definitely tell anyone to embrace the setbacks and the challenges because that’s ultimately what’s gonna transform you into the ultimate version of yourself..
Well, I would want the world to know is that your dreams are real. God wouldn’t put a vision in your heart that wasn’t supposed to be.. you’re supposed to recognize your greatness and honor God and your family by becoming the best version of yourself. Align with your purpose and watch how life transforms around you. Don’t allow people to sway your opinion and taint your pure thoughts. I want my story to reflect that no matter what challenges and setbacks I faced that I never gave up and I continue to follow what’s in my heart.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m not gonna hold you. I don’t really like going out as boring as that sounds. That’s my truth. Now, if it was a homie of mine and I wanted to bring him into my world we’re probably hitting up arcade Odyssey and playing some video games. Now if you wanted to drink and have a good time, we probably just hitting up Wynwood and walking the strip.. outside of that I’m an introvert I like to be in the crib
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a shout out to the Homies. These are my day ones that I have known since I was about 13 years old. So we’ve been locked in for over 20 years. Truthfully, I don’t think I would be able to do half the things that I’m doing if it wasn’t for their support. Just simply believing can do so much for you. Even when I hit the group chat with crazy ass ideas, even if it seems unorthodox, they still ride with me. Ain’t nothing better than having real solid friends. Shout out to Cam, Carl, Nick, and Fatboy.
