We had the good fortune of connecting with Amber Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amber, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I think risk taking is the only way you’ll get ahead in this life. Being stagnant and safe will deem the same outcomes every time. I’ve taken risks on businesses in the past that have failed, but each of those failures taught me something to take into my next venture.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a content creator and podcast host. I’ve been doing video style content for a good while with 15.2K followers on Tik Tok and 3.5K subscribers on YouTube. I started in the beauty space, and it was very hard for me at first because it was a very saturated subject online at the time around 2019. I’m now in the health & wellness space. I feel what sets me apart is my discipline and dedication to helping other women achieve what they want mentally and physically. I’m a firm believer in nutrition and wellness, and I live my life in a way that reflects that. After doing some inner work, I moved out of the beauty space earlier this year online because I no longer wanted to make content about the vain parts of my life (makeup, going out, hair, etc.) I wanted to content to mean something and give others hope to take control of their health whether that be mentally, physically, and or emotionally.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The first thing we would do is go to my rooftop and do yoga. The view is amazing and I love to start the day with some type of physical activity because it makes the rest of the day better. Next I’m going to take her for coffee at my favorite little quaint shop in Wynwood, Dr. Smood. They have this lavender matcha latte that makes you feel like you can conquer the day. Next, I would take her to eat at Taco Stand because those are a must if you’re in Wynwood. I would then take her to Midtown to do a little walking, shopping, & people watching after hitting up Trader Joe’s for some snacks. Then we would plan our evening out stopping at Rosa Sky or the Tea Room for the beautiful views of Brickell. Of course I have to let her try one of Miami’s “hype” restaurants in Brickell, and I would probably choose Komodo. If it’s a Sunday evening, I’ll have to take her to listen to some good RnB vibes at Coyo Taco in Wynwood to end the night.
