We had the good fortune of connecting with Ana Serrat and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ana, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
What was your thought process behind starting your own business?
After more than 18 years at Telefónica Movistar—leading high-performing B2B sales teams and achieving milestones that shaped my professional journey—I knew it was time to channel that experience into building something of my own. Being part of the leadership team at one of the world’s largest corporations was an invaluable school that gave me the tools, strategic vision, and confidence to take the next big step: creating a business that combines operational excellence, global perspective, and a deeply human approach to every decision.
When I moved to the U.S. in my 40s, I left behind a corporate title, a successful track record, and a familiar system. I had to start over — but I didn’t see that as a weakness. I saw it as a chance to reinvent myself with intention. I saw a gap in the market: thousands of international investors and families looking to expand or relocate to the U.S., but struggling to find trustworthy, strategic guidance.
That’s how Interbloom Group was born — not just as a business brokerage and real estate firm, but as a platform to deliver excellence, clarity, and human connection to global clients navigating complex decisions. At Interbloom, we treat every project as if it were our own. We think like investors, we listen like partners, and we act with integrity, empathy, and results in mind.
More importantly, I built Interbloom with a team that reflects diversity, talent, and shared values. We work with a Top Producer culture grounded in collaboration, active listening, transparency, joy, and constant improvement. We avoid internal competition and instead foster collective growth — because we know that the client always wins when the team is strong and united.
This mindset also led to the creation of “Tu Proyecto en USA”, a strategic alliance of seasoned professionals with over 20 years of experience in immigration law, business structuring, real estate, finance, and international investment. Together, we guide entrepreneurs and families not just to invest, but to truly flourish in their new chapter.
Starting my business was my way of honoring everything I had learned — and choosing to do it with heart, strategy, and real impact — leaving a mark.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The name Interbloom was born from a vision: international bloom — helping global investors grow, diversify, and flourish through strategic investments in the U.S. While we initially focused on foreign clients, today we’re proud to serve an increasing number of U.S.-based entrepreneurs and business owners who choose us for our integrity, results, and deep market knowledge.
I’m the CEO and founder of Interbloom Group, a boutique real estate and business brokerage firm based in South Florida with an international presence. We specialize in guiding investors and entrepreneurs through smart acquisitions — whether it’s residential or commercial properties, established businesses, new growth opportunities, or franchise ventures. Our team also has deep expertise in helping clients buy and sell franchises, as well as develop and expand franchise models across the U.S.
What sets us apart? We are not just brokers — we are strategic partners. We combine business intelligence with empathy, and we treat each transaction with the same care as if it were our own. Our approach is rooted in trust, clarity, and long-term vision.
Since our launch, we’ve successfully closed over 400 sales, and today we are proud to specialize more and more in the sale of mid-sized and large businesses, moving steadily into the Mergers & Acquisitions space. This shift has come naturally as we’ve grown — a reflection of the trust we’ve built, the quality of our work, and the caliber of clients we now attract.
But none of this would be possible without my team. At Interbloom, we believe that success means nothing if it’s not shared. I’m proud to lead a diverse, committed and highly aligned team that operates with shared values: collaboration, active listening, continuous improvement, and joy in the process. We avoid internal competition and work as one — because that’s how we deliver real, consistent results to our clients.
Starting this company after moving to the U.S. in my 40s wasn’t easy. I had to rebuild everything — credibility, networks, market knowledge — from the ground up. But I was driven by a clear mission: to build something meaningful, with purpose, and with heart.
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is this: clarity and alignment are everything. When you know who you are, what you stand for, and you surround yourself with people who share that energy — growth becomes exponential.
Interbloom is not just my business. It’s a reflection of everything I believe in: excellence, transformation, trust, and the power of building something bigger than yourself.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Favorite Spots in the City – Delray Beach
If my best friend were visiting, I’d absolutely take them to Delray Beach — one of South Florida’s most charming and dynamic coastal towns.
What I love about Delray is that it has everything: walkability, a vibrant culinary scene, live music, art, great energy, and some of the most beautiful beaches in the area. It’s elegant but relaxed, with a local charm that instantly makes you feel welcome.
Here’s how I’d plan a perfect week:
Day 1 – Arrival & Sunset Welcome
We’d start with a walk along Atlantic Avenue, grab a drink at a rooftop bar like Deck 84 or The Ray Hotel, and toast to the week ahead while watching the sunset over the Intracoastal.
Day 2 – Beach Day & Brunch
A full beach day at Delray Municipal Beach, followed by brunch at Elisabetta’s, with its beautiful patio and Italian flair. Then a relaxed stroll through Pineapple Grove’s art district.
Day 3 – Wellness & Vibes
We’d do a morning yoga class or massage at a local spa, then have lunch at The Grove — a hidden gem for seasonal, chef-driven dishes. Afternoon cocktails at Rosewater Rooftop with live DJ sets.
Day 4 – Night Out
Dinner at Akira Back (sophisticated Japanese-Korean fusion), then head to Throw Social or Tin Roof to enjoy live music and dancing in a fun, safe, and energetic setting.
To end the night, stop by the newly opened johnboy.delray — a chic, upscale nightclub with a vibrant atmosphere, great music, and a stylish crowd. A perfect spot to wrap up an unforgettable night out.
Day 5 – Shopping & Culture
We’d explore the unique boutiques along Atlantic Ave, then visit the Delray Beach Market for gourmet bites and people-watching. A casual dinner at Le Colonial for upscale Vietnamese cuisine and lush ambiance.
Day 6 – Day Trip & Nature
We might rent bikes and explore the Wakodahatchee Wetlands, or take a short drive to Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens. End the day with sushi and sake at Yama.
Day 7 – Slow Morning & Goodbye Brunch
Wrap up the trip with a final beach walk, espresso at Subculture Coffee, and a farewell brunch at Lionfish — fresh, modern, and the perfect sendoff spot.
Delray Beach is constantly evolving — it’s a hub for entrepreneurs, creatives, and professionals who value quality of life. It’s walkable, safe, full of soul and sunshine. Whether you’re here to relax, connect, invest or dream bigger — Delray has a way of making you feel both grounded and inspired.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Your Shoutout
Absolutely. I truly believe no one succeeds alone — and my journey has been shaped by many people who walked beside me at different stages.
First, I owe a deep shoutout to my family, for their love, patience, and unwavering belief in me, even when I chose to reinvent myself in a new country in my 40s.
Second, to my incredible team at Interbloom Group, who prove every day that building a values-driven business is not only possible — it’s powerful. Their talent, integrity, and commitment give meaning to everything we do.
I also want to recognize the inspiring professionals in our alliance “Tu Proyecto en USA” — trusted experts in immigration, legal, financial, and real estate — who share a common mission: helping international clients build a better future through strategic investment and heart.
And most importantly, my deepest gratitude goes to the clients and families who have trusted us — those who chose us to guide them in life-changing decisions, and those who continue to choose us again and again. Your dreams fuel our purpose. Your stories inspire us to be better. You are the reason Interbloom exists.
Lastly, I want to acknowledge the mentors, colleagues, and authors who’ve shaped my thinking over the years. From corporate boardrooms to late-night readings, I’ve learned that true leadership means lifting others as you climb.
This shoutout is for everyone who has believed in me, challenged me, and helped me rise. I carry a part of each of you in everything I do.
