We had the good fortune of connecting with Anais Habbar and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anais, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?

Being grateful everyday plays an important role in my life. Positive thinking attracts positive life. The key to succeed is our mindset. Perseverance, ambition, and hard work. Don’t be afraid to dream BIG and manifest. Work with your heart, because people doing work with passion and love are usually happy in life and successful. Consideration of people; treating others as you would have them treat you. (the Golden Rule)

The habit that plays an important role in my life is taking care of myself.  Put yourself first. Relax, meditate, manifest, eat healthy and workout. Do whatever you love to do for you. Take great care of yourself allows you to be more present for your family and loved ones. You will feel better and confident.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

I am Vice President of DL SERVICES – a company that works on galley designs with most of cruise lines. We are recognized in the Cruise Industry as galley expert designer. Our clients (Royal Caribbean Cruise, Carnival & HA Group, Norwegian Cruise Lines Holding, Disney, Viking and now Virgin Voyages) trust us to work on a large variety of projects.

We created a software named Life Cycle System (LCS). Owners use LCS to optimize spare parts identification and selection, equipment replacement and maintenance.
The system offers a visual approach to coordinate onboard operations with deck plans, detailed technical documentation, and videos. LCS provides information that improves both equipment-replacement planning and routine decision-making. Norwegian Cruise Line holdings (NCLH) has extended its deal with us for the LCS though 2027.We are also recognized in the industry as an expert in procurement & supply chain management.

Since 2009, I have been running DL SERVICES USA, Inc. located in Miami, Florida. (Branch of DL SERVICES based in France, Europe)

I am managing all relations with American customers including overseeing the design of USPHS galleys pantries, bars and buffet areas, spare parts contracts, and Life Cycle System.

My priority is providing the highest quality customer service for the equipment and spare parts needs for mainly all cruise liners. Through the years, I established a true relationship based on trust with customers.

I am ensuring that DL SERVICES signature “A la carte” continues across all departments by offering excellent hospitality solutions for customers.

As a young woman in a predominantly male industry, I am extremely proud to be member elected of the Board of Directors of the Marine Hotel Association.

I am also very proud to have recently joined the Advisory Board of Cruise Ship Hospitality Expo.

2020 was not easy for the cruise industry. But the positive thing for me was the quality time I had with my loved ones. I am married and a devoted mother of two boys. They are my inspiration and my motivation to pursue my dreams. No matter what your business situation is, family and true friends are the most important.

No stranger to work, and more on a personal journey, I am creating a new concept based on my passion for women to embrace their inner beauty. As I completed both an Esthetic & Cosmetics and International Trade Master programs, in France and as I love to learn, I am currently studying to become a certified image consultant. I truly have a passion for fashion and beauty since my childhood. I love to empower women, boost their self-confidence by offering them makeovers.
I love to share beauty vlog, such as makeup & hairstyle tutorials, outfit ideas, my travel, and lifestyle on my social media. I hope to share my new project very soon.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite places in MIA are Miami Design District and Wynwood. The beach that I would recommend is Key Biscayne for their amazing sunset. You could take your friends out for a coffee and nice pastries at Pandoree Café in Wynwood. It’s such a friendly place. For a nice brunch I recommend The Biltmore Hotel. My favorite restaurants are: Mandolin, Lagniappe, Bombay Darbar or Hakkasan at Fontainebleau hotel.

If you are a nature lover, Miami Fairchild Tropical garden, Pinecrest garden, and Villa Vizcaya are beautiful to visit. If you love to attend Fashion events as I do, like Miami Fashion Week, Miami Magazine events or SWIM WEEK MIAMI during summer. Most of the fashion shows are on “private invitation only”, but you can be lucky to purchase tickets online.  And during winter, Art Basel is a must to do!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my husband and my two sons. My love for them is beyond words. I truly believe everything happens for a reason in life. I also want to dedicate my shoutout to my biological parents from Chile who gave me in adoption. And my adopted parents who raised me in France. Both are two forms of love: my identity. My roots and my evolution.
