We had the good fortune of connecting with Anastasia Eisenberg and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anastasia, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
It’s probably gonna sound trivially, but I want to have my own makeup line. And I want to keep some private clients just work and enjoy the process.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m very picky in clients. it sounds weird, I know. But for me it’s really important that a client wants to hire me because a client loves my works. In that case I can do my work 100%. Because for me my work it is not just a way to make money, I live with it and it means a lot for me. And it’s what I always recommend to clients, go to makeup artist if you like their works. But I wasn’t like that before, of course. I work since 2013 and had a lot of fails. It happened to me when my client didn’t like a makeup and I had to change it completely. But it happened because I didn’t have enough experience. And I was thinking that I have to change my job and do something in the office again, not makeup. Work with Russian clients in Russia makes you cry sometimes. Because they are not so polite like Americans. I would say Russian culture is very close to latin.
Our days I suggest to my clients beautiful natural monochrome makeup that doesn’t change a face, just make it more pretty. If my client feel beautiful and confident with my makeup, I’m happy. For me is really important to leave my client fully satisfied.

And the main lesson for me is ‘always listen what your client wants’. In this case scenario, you will get a good feedback.

Of course all my way wasn’t easy, specially when I moved to New York, USA in 2017.

If it’s easy, it means you do nothing. I prefer fo on the way of resistance, not with a flow.

And I’m so proud it’s my full time job now.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Breakfast Carrot Express (it’s healthy)/Ojo de Agua. Whole day is Vizcaya Museums and Gardens for sure, because it’s beautiful.
Walk in South Ponte Park and Key Biscayne. To see a light house and they have a cozy bar there to watch a sunset.

Kayaking in Oleta River Park, that’s what I have to do more often. I just don’t have a lot of time to do that.

Walk in Brickell/Downtown (River Walk Trail, Bayfront Park) I’m such a city girl, I moved to Miami From New York where I spent 3,5 years and I love city vibe.
Dance salsa Cafe la Trova/Ball and Chain.

Dinner La Mar in Mandarine Oriental (Brickell Key) is such a nice view and Zuma.

I don’t go out a lot, I love to enjoy sunrise and we’ll go to Miami Beach to see sunrise.

If we go fancy, we can rent a boat to enjoy the weather (I hope the weather is good).

But I don’t know Miami well and gonna show to my friend all what I know 🙂
And I’ll take my friend to Palm beach. I like to be there. People are very nice, less tourist, clean and quiet.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would say “me” 🙂 Because all what we do and all what we have in our life it’s because we go for our goals. It’s because one day we stand up and do something, it’s sequencing. I don’t believe in a miracle and that people wakeup famous. But in our day you never know, it’s a time of TikTok and instagram.
And I would say it’s my makeup teacher Anastasia Sannikova. She is currently in Moscow, working with celebrities there. She helped me to get a vision, love and sense of taste in makeup. Because before I met her, my makeup skills were not really good 🙂
