We had the good fortune of connecting with Anastasiia Supruniuk and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anastasiia, how do you think about risk?
Well I think I’m not a risky person. But if you’ll look at my life you’ll definitely say I am. That is also what I’ve realized looking back at my life myself. I’m definitely a person everything or nothing. I don’t want just a half of some things. I want the whole thing not a small piece to make myself satisfied for a short time. So in this case I’m open for risks. For example my life completely changed upside down when I moved alone to Unites States knowing nobody here and having zero help. So I guess it’s kinda a big risk to take but it was also a big opportunity. So I just went with it. I used to miss my previous life back in Ukraine but after these horrible situation going on I understood that this risk was worth to take. So I’m more than happy living in USA right now and doing what I love. And I love music and United States is a perfect place for that.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a Dj and music producer. When I discovered dj thing for myself I understood that it’s not enough. To be recognized you have to do something. It’s like a singer who doesn’t write it’s own songs. I mean it’s okay but in a same time you want to be heard and you want to speak to people through your music not just entertain. It’s something deeper. Music production is complicated and challenging but very interesting thing itself. It helps you to express your inner being and then by performing you showing people who you are. So this is a great journey to travel even if it won’t bring you anywhere. I appreciate every moment of it and super thankful to all the people who helps me on this way.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well I’d definitely recommend to come to Miami during Miami Music Week the last week of March. We’d go to bunch of pool parties and then on a weekend we’d hit Ultra Music Festival. That’s my best music experience so far.I don’t know where we’d eat or sleep because things can get messed up during that time lol. but it would be definitely the best experience ever.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
As I said when I moved to US my life completely changed. Before I’ve been digging into music as well but not in the same way I’m right now. When I came to United States first few months I had nothing to do. I was just traveling and figuring out what to do with my life. So I discovered music festivals for myself and they got me so excited that’s why I’m doing what I’m doing right now. Back in Ukraine I was learning how to dj and in US I started to take music production classes with different instructors who were already releasing tracks on music labels or label owners, I was doing some online classes by famous djs and I was improving my dj skills. It is a whole journey and I’m still learning.
