We had the good fortune of connecting with Andgelita Laguerre and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andgelita, how do you think about risk?
I believe that every major decision we make in our lives brings risks. When I first had the idea of starting my own business, I delayed the process for a long time due to the unknowns. But later, I realized that if we paralyze ourselves due to the unknown, then we will never make any progress in life; this was the thought process that I kept in mind when I started Grand Rising Creative Crafts. Being creative comes with a lot of risks, and the complexity lies in trusting the process as you go. The most epic project I created comes from taking risks. Risk is like a double-edged sword. There is no guarantee that the results will lead to a favorable outcome. But I would rather take the risk than live a life full of regrets with what-ifs. Grand Rising Creative Crafts would have still been an idea to this day if I never took the risk of starting it. A vision is just a vision until you are bold enough to make it a reality.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Grand Rising Creative Crafts was created out of the need to help people celebrate their special memories. We focus on crafting outstanding shadow boxes that will immortalize the special moments in your life. We understand that every individual memory is unique to them. Therefore, we have invested a lot of love and emotion to ensure that we carefully design and personalize your shadow box with you in mind. Whether it is your graduation ceremony or the joyous occasion of your wedding, all your pictures deserve a shadowbox that highlights the essence of those moments, a frame that expresses emotions and reflects its significance. Our shadow boxes can not only show your memories perfectly, but they are also thoughtful gifts you can give to your loved ones, which will fill them with laughter and tears of joy. Grand Rising takes pride in providing our clients’ quality work, and because of that, we have a high rate of happy customers returning to create more memories. Starting this journey has not been smooth sailing. There are obstacles and trials. But during this journey, I learned that staying in our comfort zone will only keep us captive from reaching our God-given talent and creativity, as well as our full potential.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Miami is famous for its beaches, so the beaches would be a good starting point, especially Hollywood Beach. It has a lot of restaurants, souvenir shops, and live band performances on the weekends. If the person is into arts, Miami Designs District is the place to go. Kiki on the River is a nice restaurant to go especially at night, the view is amazing. The option is endless, to be honest. I don’t think a person can run out of things to do if you come to Miami.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have been blessed with many supporters in this journey: my families and friends. A big shout-out to my GRCC family. Most importantly, I’m thankful to God for blessing me with this gift.
