Meet Andi Lipton | Owner and Principal Event Consultant at ANDI Soirées

We had the good fortune of connecting with Andi Lipton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andi, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’ve always been a very organized, dedicated, and detailed person who loves parties and working with people. It was also very important for me to be a hands on mom. So, I started my company in 2008 with the idea that I could do something I love, on my schedule, allowing me to also be present for my kids. It worked out since I’ve been in business for 13 years now, while also raising my 8 and 10 year old daughters. Win win!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
ANDI Soirées is a luxury event planning firm that I opened in June of 2008. We manage 50+ events per year and specialize in weddings, social events, corporate functions and fundraisers. We offer a VIP level of service to our clients and always work diligently to ensure the process is enjoyable and stress- free!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would beeline from the airport to Mamey and enjoy rooftop cocktails before heading downstairs for a leisurely dinner to kick- off the weekend. Saturday afternoon we would head over to The Perez Art Museum to enjoy the exhibitions and dine al fresco for brunch at Verde. That night we would head over to Faena for dinner at Los Fuegos, followed by tickets to their newest show and post dinner drinks in The Living Room. Sunday we would brunch at The Standard after massages and then people watch at the pool before heading back to MIA.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to give this shoutout to my parents. To my father who, as a Cuban immigrant, taught me the importance of perseverance and hard work. And to my mother, who through her example, showed me how to be a present and active parent.
