We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrea Hall and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrea, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Hi let me first start by saying I wear many hats. I have an online business www.fandanglesboutique.com. I also host Monthly Sip and Shops. I worked in travel for many years and would always collect unique handmade accessories and clothing. My daughter’s friends would always ask where I got my accessories and clothing, and there Fandangles Boutique was born.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I worked in Corporate for 15 years and lost my job August 2021. I believe the universe has spoke and I am now pouring my efforts into several adventures. Hi let me first start by saying I wear many hats. I have an online business www.fandanglesboutique.com. My daughter’s friends would always ask where do you get your accessories and clothing, and there Fandangles Boutique was born. I also market Andy’s FUN Punch which was my Mom’s recipe again encouraged by my daughter . I am the director of Shak’s Hope Foundation for Sickle Cell Awareness for the past 5 years. My daughter Shakira Martin a Miss Jamaica 2011, started Shak’s Hope in January 2016. In August 2016 at the age of 30, she sadly lost her battle to Sickle Cell. I have been committed to continuing her fight and legacy. Our mission is to educate, bringing awareness by getting people to know their status and helping to improve the quality of life of those living with an invisible disease and the depression and stigma they have to overcome. We support patients in South Florida and Jamaica. We are a 501c3 nonprofit foundation.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would start with the beach in the morning, Ginger Bay Cafe in Hollywood for brunch. Next Level Restaurant for the best seafood, steam fish is highly recommended. Breakfast at Montego Bar Jerk and Grill. The Garden for some great live music. A night of dancing and good vibes at Reggae Pon de Grille. Lunch at Jerk Machine Lauderhill.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to recognize the board and supporters who volunteer and are passionate about the service to others. Eric Schroeder a dear friend of my daughters who moved from California to assist with the cause and has made South Florida his home. Rain Jarrett who is my sound board and gives me advice and and guidance whenever I need it with little or no notice. My Son Kishi , my friend Ella, Karen, Arlene, Gwen and last but certainly not least my husband Paul who is my absolute soulmate, rock, makes me life and has all the patience in the world, encourages me to be me and spread my wings every single day.
